Part 6

Flashback -
Randhir 's POV -
My high school boards were over. I had scored better marks in high school than secondary school. After so much pressure from my family, I had given various  engineering entrance tests as my parents wanted to see me as an engineer. However, much I don't want to do engineering I can't dissappoint my parents. Luckily,  I got admitted in FITE , India's premiere engineering institute.
This was the first time I saw her. I reached FITE in time as it was my first day in the institution. Everything was making me anxious. I felt an urge to run away. I wasn't a very sociable person.
9:00 AM. The entry of a professor swiped a discipline in the classroom. I occupied last bench in the classroom as I was backbencher from school. The professor started his lecture in his monotonous voice. I was least interested in the lecture. I started looking out of the window. The weather was overcast. It seems that it will rain any moment. The bell rang announcing it was time for practicals in the lab. I somehow reached the laboratory as I was still not aware of the classes and labs in FITE. The professor asked us to stand near the tables and he will assign our lab partners. In the meantime I started observing the machine kept on the table.
"Excuse me, are you Randhir"? Someone said. I looked up from the table and straight at her. Her voice was melodious and soothing. She was four inches shorter than me, so I looked down into her eyes. A tremor rushed within my muscle which made me realize that they too existed in my body. Those twinkling eyes were trying to ask something but I had no answers at all.
My mouth was left open for next ten seconds. I felt choked and was unable to breathe. She was a rare beauty. She was not too fair, no long hair. She was indeed beautiful to human eyes.
She made a pony tail, looked worried, had small nose and red lips.
Gorgeousness diffused in the air slowly. We both looked at each other. I could not move from my place, my body was almost paralysed. My heart skipped beats for the first time seeing a girl. I had close encounters with my girlfriends in my school days. But, it was the first time my heart was beating madly by standing so  close to a girl.
