"Excuse me mam."
I squinted my eyes open, and was surprised to find the flight attendant standing over me. Her smile was just like the attendants in the movies; perfectly straight teeth that were so white they were practically glowing.
"Your flight has landed; I'm going to need you to exit the plane."
I nodded my head in recognition, I was still pretty sleepy. I guess that what happens when you... Oh jeez, I can't believe I did that, I never did things like that. I couldn't wait to tell Jess about what happened she wouldn't believe me. When I was in high school Jessi always tried to talk me into doing crazy stuff like that, and I guess that's why I love Londy so much; she reminded me so much of Jess.
I trudged my suitcase to the airport, and immediately spotted my sister.
"Oh my god," Jessi flared her arms. "Ronnie!"
I dropped my bags and jumped into her arms, probably receiving tons of glares from workers, but I didn't care, "Jess! It's so good to see you! Congratulations!" I said surprisingly sweet.
My sister and I had kind of a confusing relationship. I was always being compared to her by my parents but she never acted like she was the best around me. Even though I knew she loved me for who I was she always had this disappointed aura when she was around me. Ever since I was little I have envied her flowing brown hair, jade green eyes, flawless complexion, and not to mention her intelligence. Being the failure is my forte in this family, but Jess never seemed to exclude me for it.
"Ronnie, I missed you! I am so happy you are here! I cannot wait until you meet Nick, he is the best guy!" she beamed grabbing my face and squishing my cheeks. Ugh.
Her fiancé is named Nick? Ironic much? Maybe a little too much...Iron-Nick! Hahah! No pun intended...
"Nick?" I knit my eyebrows together while grabbing my bags and rolling out with Jess towards the airport parking lot.
"Yeah, I am surprised you didn't meet him while back home, he went there with his buddy for the weekend, but I guess you wouldn't have recognized him from Adam! He was on your flight I think? Still it's strange you never bumped into him." She shook her head as we made our way through the crowd of people and headed towards the exit. I always hated big crowds it felt too suffocating, but standing in this crowd made me think of last night. I felt nervous butterflies arise in my stomach and my smile grew larger unconsciously.
"Oh my god! Your thinking about him aren't you?! Tell me everything! What did he look like?" She squealed.
"Well to sum it up in four words: It was god like" I said absentmindedly, thoughts of the night before running through my mind.
She let out a mixture of a squeal and laugh while gripping my arm, "Details!"
I slid into the passenger seat of her Corvette, damn her for being so perfect. If I ever was lucky enough to get a new car it would be a piece of junk, and here she is with this beauty. Oh and to make me even more jealousy it was one of her many gifts from my parents. Maybe I should get married so my parents would buy me a car; yeah it's a plan.
"Ronnie, hello," Jess's grin stretched from ear to ear. "Don't leave me hanging."
I returned her smile, and sat back into my seat. Honestly, I was so excited to tell her. I never had many of these moments, in my family it was always 'Jess this' and 'Jess that' so I was enjoying myself quite a bit.
"Alright well to start," I bit my lip, the engine of the car raddling to life. "He was just perfect, Jess you wouldn't believe it. It's like we had this connection, unlike anything I have ever experienced. Have you ever felt like that before?"
