Chapter 11

Gabe's POV
I regained consciousness as my eyes opened to the morning sun. It took a moment before my eyes adjusted to the bright light. I looked over to see Jack clinging onto me. Despite my inner disgust for him, I can't help but appreciate how great last night was. But, I finally got what I wanted out of him. Once I get the spot, I can dump him and then I can be the commander around here. I feel a little bad that I'm just leaving him even though he's legitimately in love but...my ambitions are more important than him.
I tapped his face lightly, his eyes opened slowly, flinching back closed due to absorbing the bright sunlight. I smiled at his innocence, he was so adorable. Snapping out of that train of thought I got up, gesturing him to do the same. He started to turn a bright red and I was at first confused but, I soon realized that I was still naked and so was he. I smirked and walked over to him to take advantage of him. I crouched down next to him and murdered, "C'mon you'll get more done getting out of bed instead of gawking at me. Sé que estoy bien." He started to turn even redder and I shook my head. I got up and walked away, fully aware of the fact that he was staring at my ass.

We were at the office talking to Winston who happens to be an ape...Jack was holding me, he seemed excited about giving me the position and I had trouble understanding that. Why does he love me so much? I shook out of my suffocating thoughts and looked over. Winston was smiling at me and so was Jack and I quickly realized I was just granted the position. Jack started to gesture us up and we left. I had to ask.

"Why are you so happy about giving me commander?"

"It's because it makes you happy."

I felt this fluttery feeling inside of me and I didn't like it. I was glad that I was leaving him because I didn't like how he made me feel. He disarmed me, opened a soft spot. As soon as we as got to the quarters I pushed him off me. Confusion and pain spread across his face as he approached me.

"Gabe? Are you ok? What's wrong?"

I started to giggle as I looked at him, he doesn't have the slightest clue.

"Finally."

"What? Gabe what are you talking about?"

"I'm through with you. I seduced you so I could get this position and I could just dump you right after."

He started to hyperventilate and cry.

"G...Gabe please tell me y..your lying."

I grinned evilly, "Thank god I'm not."

He collapsed to the floor and covered his face. There was that feeling again but, it was heavier, more deep. I ignored it as I walked past him in triumph.
