I STARED AT my reflection through the mirror. Watching as my hair swayed through the wind. I unclasped the locket and carefully place it around my neck. It rested just below my collar bones. The locket shining as it caught the sunlight.

I stood from my seat and walked out of my bed chambers. I walked down the cold corridors until I stopped behind a closed door, Bran's closed door. I raised my fist and knocked gently.

"Who is it?" I hear him call out.

"It's Lyli" I called back. I hear some footsteps and the door opens revealing Hodor's large stature. I smiled at the gentle giant.

"Hello Hodor" I greeted him in which he replied with a smile. He moved aside and let me walk through. I see Bran sitting by his window with Summer below his feet. He looks over to me and smiled to which I returned.

"Hodor? Can you leave us for a moment. I'd like to talk to Bran privately." I asked politely.

"Hodor" he dipped his head slightly and walks out of the room, closing the door behind him as he left. I look back to Bran and was surprised to see him frowning.

"Why did you want to talk privately?" He asked curiously. I slowly walked towards him until I was a feet away from him.

"You really shouldn't fight with the Maester about your mother" I told him. He looked away and his eyebrows furrowed as he stared out the window.

"Why not? She left. She didn't even stay until I awoke." His voice slightly bitter. I sighed as I took a seat beside him.

"She left for a reason" I assured him.

"And you know the reason?" He snapped.

"No but I know it must be very important that she had to leave you." I told him. "When Maester Luwin told you earlier that your mother stayed with you for weeks, I kept her company. She cried and prayed to the mother for you to wake. She barley left your chambers. She was always at your side" i tried reasoning with him. His eyes snapped back to meet mine.

"Then she left!" He yelled. I stood up suddenly becoming angry with the stubborn Stark.

"For a reason Bran! You shouldn't take your mother for granted." I yelled back.
"You're lucky you still have a mother" I muttered sadly. The room grew quiet. I dare glanced up. His once angry demeanor diminished and was replaced with sympathy. I sat back down and stared out the window as I played with the locket around my neck.

"I barley even knew my mother. She died before my 2nd nameday. A fever took her. All I know of her are stories from Loras and Margaery." My voice quivered. Tears were threatening to pour down my face.

"I never knew..." he spoke softly. I look back into his eyes.

"What I would give to have a family like yours. I love my family but it's just not the same without the love of a mother. I wish that I can spend just one day with her. To know how she was like, to be held in her arms." A tear rolled down my cheeks and I hastily wiped it away. The room was once again silent. No words were said between us for a few minutes until spoke up once again.

"Your mother sacrificed herself to save you, you know?" I spoke softly. His face contorted with confusion.

"What do you mean?" He asked. I contemplated wether I should tell him the incident for a while. I ultimately decided that he had a right to know.

"A few weeks ago, a fire erupted in the villages. Robb and along with most of the guards went with him to investigate the cause. A man came in here, holding a dagger. He tried to kill you Bran. Catelyn fought the man and in the process had her hands cut open." I decided to leave the part where I was also injured trying to protect him out. I want all his thought on Catelyn, not me.

"No one told me" he trailed on.

"No one was suppose to tell you. But I felt like you should know" I revealed to him. I stood up, straightening my dress. I began to walk out the room but not without glancing back. I gave him a soft smile as I closed the door. Thoughts began racing through my head. Was it a good idea to tell him about the assassination attempt on him?
