Chapter 7: You’re Something Special

(Louis’ Point of View)

“Harry! Lou!” Liam shouts barging into the room. Harry and I both wake up frightened.

“Is my panda being killed?” Harry mumbles. What? Liam and I both give him a weird look. “I was having a dream that I owned this panda named Laura. She was really cute but there was a banging and I don’t know. I thought my panda died.” He says looking around sadly, as if he honestly has a panda and is scared for its life.

“You’re cute, Haz, but there’s no panda.” I tell him softly, trying not to crush him.

He looks up at me and frowns before his face lights up and he looks at me as if I just said the best thing ever. I just told him he doesn’t have a panda, why is he so happy?

“Uh, I hate to ruin your little moment here, but we seriously need to go. I just got a call, the distance between this place and our interview was miscalculated and we need to leave earlier than we originally would have. So, get up and come into the living room. Don’t bother getting ready. It’s three in the morning, so it’s not like anybody is really going to see you anyhow.” Liam tells us in a rush. I guess we really do have to go-

“Wait! Three in the morning?! Are you crazy?” I ask frantically. It’s far too early in the morning to actually do anything.

“Yes it’s three in the morning, big deal. We need to be at the interview by ten and it’s going to take more than two hours to get there. Get up now, and go in the living room. I’m going to go wake Zayn and Niall up.” Liam tells us one last time before leaving the room.

Harry looks at me before shrugging and standing up from the bed. He stretches a bit before turning to face me once again. “Well, come on Lou. We don’t want to make Liam mad. It’s way too early for that. Besides, we can sleep in the car, yeah?” He flashes me a little smile before walking to the door and heading out into the hallway. I get up to follow him and on my way out I pass Niall’s and Zayn’s room in which Liam is walking out of.

“Good. You actually got up.” He says giving me a cheeky grin. I truly do not understand how Liam can be so happy in the morning, especially at this hour. I don’t question it, though. A happy Liam is better than a mad or sad Liam. So, I just shrug and walk over to the couch in the living room where Harry is seated. Liam looks around a bit and then Niall and Zayn enter the living room, both looking just as sleepy as I feel.  “Alright, since we’re all here now,” Liam begins, “We can go down to the lobby and out to the Limo. Our interview is held in Illinois again, at the same station as a year ago so it won’t be half bad. I suggest we all sleep on the way there, though, otherwise we’ll be cranky and will disappoint our fans. Now, let’s head out to the limo.” Liam finishes and heads to the door. We all get up and follow him out.

When we enter the lobby we’re greeted by Fred. “Hello, boys. I guess I’m your driver once again.” He says while smiling friendly at us.

“Hey, again.” Liam says while the rest of us return his smile tiredly. Fred nods and walks out to the limo, opening the door for us all to get in. We all thank him and head in. Harry and I sit together at the end of the limo, Liam sits on the left side by himself, and Niall and Zayn sit on the right side together. We all begin positioning ourselves so we can fall asleep. Liam just lies down, considering he doesn’t have to share his seat. Zayn leans back against the wall and slouches while Niall lays his head on Zayn’s shoulder. I swear those two are closer than before. I’ll have to ask Zayn about it later.
