~~Chloe's POV~~~

I wasn't going to blow these guys cover, my friend already did that. Now our school is basically lock down. I didn't know where to run, how far I should be from here, and most importantly, was it safe for me..

Well there were those who were bitten at the age of 8 who stay that way, or there were people like me who were born into this form. every day I grow at least three or four inches taller. It's terrible being born into it. You don't have anyone to hang out with because of how dangerous you are.

I finally spotted it, at the top of the shield, there was a panel missing. Problem was, it was right above the school. "She over here!" some one yelled. I didn't look back, knowing that they were hot on my trails. But I didn't get it. from what I read in books, wolves are only 1/4 the speed of a vampire, how could they be caught up with me. unless....

Never mind about that, I have bigger problems to deal with. How was I going to get to the top. flying was out for me... I didn't have the ability... jumping, no. climbing, no. teleporting, no. "Will she stop, we need to tell her." They were a few feet from me. I did the last thing possible for me, I went invisible and hid behind a statue. They stopped and looked around. "Dude, I though you said she was over here." "I did, I swear she went this way." two of them argued.

I back away from them as quietly as I could. I didn't see where I was backing up, or what I was backing into. something hard hit my back and I almost screamed. Thank god it was just another statue. it shook a little, but not enough to be noticeable. "Wait, do you hear that?" Shoot...their hearing is better than mine. I slowly uncovered myself and stood still. I didn't dare to make a sound. looking around, I found that one of them were missing. I could of swore I counted five of them.. not four.. my eyes started getting heavy. my sight going blurry, I couldn't stand. I felt weak. The last I saw, was a shadow over me, with chocolate brown curls hovering over inches from my face....
