Teddy Lupin ~Requested~

Callie was one of the nicest people anyone could encounter. But that didn't stop people from being mean to her. Some people didn't understand her, how she was or why she liked and did what she did. Callie was bullied for one thing in particular. Being deaf. People bullied her because of the one thing she couldn't control. 

Today was another day where she was being bullied. But today it was by a group of Ravenclaws.  Callie tried to not look at what they were doing, but they were blocking her path to the the black lake. She looked at their faces and saw they were laughing. She then lowered her sight and saw they were mocking her sign language. She tried to read their hands but there were no real words behind them. With a blink of an eye, she was shoved into some students behind her. Another push. Another. Another. Then a harsh slap across her cheek. Her cheek began to sting. Tears welling in her eyes. 

Teddy Lupin rounded the corner of the corridor that Callie was being bullied in and saw what was going on. Ravenclaw students hitting (punching, slapping and kicking) an innocent Hufflepuff student. Teddy froze for a moment, not believing that the some of the smartest, most logical students in the school, would pick on another student. Coming back into reality, Teddy pulled his wand out of his robe casting a spell towards the group making sure not to hit the girl with long brown, wavy hair.

Surprised by the sudden spell shot at the group, the Ravenclaws look toward the caster. Upon seeing Teddy they ran. Teddy walked over to the crying girl lying on the floor.  Helping her stand up, Teddy asked "Are you okay?" But he received no answer.  Now looking at the girls face he realised who he was talking to. It was Callie. The girl everyone's mean to. He then signed, when she was looking at him, "Are you okay?".

Callie looked from Teddy's handsome face and blue bubblegum hair to his hands. Reading 'Are you okay?'. Looking surprised she signed back, "Yes. Thank you.". Teddy read her hands carefully but admired them at the same time. They looked soft. He wondered if they felt soft as well. Callie then asked/signed, "How do you know sign language?".

Teddy took a moment to realise what she had asked and quickly replied with, "I use to have a friend who was deaf. But he transferred to Durmstrang."

"I'm sorry." was all Callie signed back.

Teddy motioned for Callie to follow him. Once she started to follow him down the long corridors of Hogwarts, he began to walk toward the infirmary. 

After taking Callie to the infirmary, Teddy stays with her until Ma'dam Pomfrey had made sure Callie was okay and was allowed to leave. 

Once discharged from the Hospital Wing, Teddy led Callie to the Hufflepuff common room stopping by the kitchen the grab something for them both to eat. 

*Time skip 10 minutes*

The common room was almost empty apart from Teddy and Callie sitting on the mustard yellow sofa.  For almost an hour the pair just sit in comfortable silence neither one wanting to disturb the other. But Teddy had to get something off his chest. Tapping Callie's shoulder lightly, he signed "I like you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?". 

A moment went past before Callie signed back "yes". 

Teddy looked deeply into Callie's jade eyes. Lowering his eyes down to the freckles that dotted her nose and cheeks until he looked at her lips. Slowly they both leaned in. Sharing a kiss they will never forget.
