"so, how's school?" he asked and the waiter set down our meals and left us alone.
"it's great. this year has gone by so fast...joey had gotten so big! i can't wait for you to see him." i exclaimed with a grin on my lips as i picked at my pasta before swirling it around my fork and eating it slowly.
"i want you back, chloe." he frowned as i bit my lip and dropped the fork onto my plate.
"brandon...we've talked about this we decided to stay friends." i mumbled and reached over to clasp his hand into my own. i smiled at the familiar warm feeling that had once made me feel so safe and now all it made me was sad because i had lost him. he would never be mine because i could never be his after what had happened.
we ate in silence and had a small fight about who paying before leaving to go back to my apartment. he grabbed my waist as i made my way to the bedroom and pinned me up against the grey wall.
"fuck. i'm not letting you go. ever." he muttered and slammed his lips onto my own. we kissed as i tangled went fingers in his hair and wrapped my legs around his waist so he could carry me to the bed.
