KATE's POV
"hey katie! get up! we're gonna be late!" uttered kate's younger brother. still katie didn't notice her brother crying out of how they're gonna be late. SLAM! sounds like her brother did find a way to wake her up. "ouch! what the muffins are you doing?" i shouted as i saw my brother staring at me while laughing out loud. "oh you son of the devil!" i said angrily. "dad! katie said i'm a son of the devil! so you're a devil dad?!" my brother screaming out loud while runnind downstairs. "oh! could it get any better than this?" i talked to my self while looking at myself in the mirror. i rushed to take a quick shower, brushed my teeth, changed into my baby pink aero shirt,black skinny jeans, black chuck taylor and grabbed my jansport. after that quick preparation for school, i hurried downstairs, grabbed some sandwhich and drove into my dad's car who was already waiting quite time already with my brother.
after 20 minutes, we arrived at school. i hurried on my way to my english room feeling excited. well, yeah! i know i'm a nerd and i love going to school, i never had any absence since day 1. now that does really make me sound much of a nerd. "hey kate" i turned my back and i saw my bestfriend erica. "hey erica" i said with a smile on my face. Erica is the only one who treats me well at school, she's the only one who understands me and i thank her so much for that. "i heard from the other class that Mrs.Montez will be giving us a project and is done by having a partner" she said. "oh that's good, we can be good partners then" i smiled. "oh that's a great idea kate" she answered. after a few seconds, "Good morning class" oh it's Mrs. Montez infront. we all settled down in our seats and listened as she was about to make an announcement."i'll be giving you guys a project, and it's going to be by partners" she uttered. "erica! let's be partners" i said. everyone was busy asking someone close to them to be their partner. but suddenly Mrs. Montez interrupted "hhhmmmm hhhhmmmm" coughing,"i wasn't finished talking yet, you can't choose who's your partner going to be, i will be the one to give you each a partner" she said while giving an evil smirk. "what?! the whole class interrupted. "yes! and my decision is final" Mrs. MOntez uttered.
"oh what a bad day" i sighed looking tired and hopeless. only erica understands me and what if i get another partner who hates me? oh this is so bad.
"jared and erica" said Mrs.Montez. "what?" both jared and erica shocked of what they heard,jared is kevin's friend and he too is popular and she doesn't like to mingle with nerds like us. "can i please have another partner?" jared asked looking annoyed. "Mr.smith! if you're not going to cooperate then you'll be getting F in my subject, so are u gonna cooperate with erica or not?" MRs.Montez said while giving jared an evil grin. "F? what?! ok fine!" Jared uttered. while in the corner of my eye i saw erica starting to blush, of course who wouldn't blush knowing that you'll be going to make a project with a popular hottie in your school.
"kevin and..." Mrs.Montez paused for a moment searching for someone to be kevin's partner, i looked down on the floor and praying that it won't be me, i admit he's handsome, hot and everything but it would be hell to be in a project with that guy. "and oh Kate, Kevin will be your partner." oh holy muffin! "what?" we both asked in shock of what we heard. "don't you guys what me! it's either you cooperate with each other or you guys will get an F" she said.
"you better cooperate kevin, i will never allow someone like you ruin my grades" i said to myself. "goodluck ms.rodriguez" kevin said to me with an evil look. "oh whatever Mr.Riveral" i said with a very boring voice.
Mrs.Montez continued choosing partners for the others ."your project will be about life,family,friends, and love. and please be creative" Mrs. montez announced and after a few minutes the bell rang which means it's break time. oh that felt good, to hear the bell rang, finally! i can breathe outside. i feel so worried about having kevin as my partner. school continued and i can't stop my self from worrying about the english project with kevin, everyone knows how he hate nerds like me and i'm scared that he might make fun of me and we won't be able to make our project good and i'll have lower grades and im pretty sure that it will really make my parents upset. yeah, my parents we're always expecting high grades from me because for them i'm a nerd. yeah i know i'm nothing but a nerd.
"kkkkkkrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnngggggg' finally! the bell rang and i can finally go back home. me and erica rushed down to the lobby to look for my brother because any time soon my dad will be arriving to pick us up and yeah we're going to drop erica in her house who's house is a few blocks away from ours.
"thanks mr. rodriguez for the ride"erica said with a smile thanking my father, she does that every time we drop her off her house. "no problemo erica" my dad replied. "see u tomorrow erica" i smiled. "oh yeah kate" she answered. after a few minutes, we arrived at home and i hurriedly rushed to my room and laid down on my bed thinking of a way what to do with english project.

oh it's my first time to write a book and i feel nervous because many may not like it but i just wanna share what i have on my mind. i know it's still boring but i promise as this book reaches far it will be fun and everything.
