Vic's POV

"No, Jaime!" I chuckled, "Jaime you're getting guacamole everywhere, I swear it's supposed to be inside the taco"

Tony, Jaime, Mike and I were all sat around a booth in Taco Bell. It was our day off so we decided to make some fun out of it. Jaime was the only band member shovelling down the food, the rest of us were being civilized.

"So Vic," Jaime mumbled with a mouth full of food, he really was disgusting, "Who was that girl you were talking to in Hot Topic?" He could tell I was lusting over her and the little shit knew how to push my buttons. Without waiting for an answer he continued, "I think she was hot! Her ass in them jeans, ooft baby" he winked at me, taking another huge bite from his taco.

"No one just a friend, her names Dylan" I smiled, I made no effort to hide my potential feelings from the guys, they knew everything about me. There was no point.

"Isn't Dylan a guys name?" Tony piped up before being nudged from Mike.

"Yeah, I don't know, it suits her though" once again smiling down at my lap fiddling with my hands.

We got home at about 8:30pm, I was about ready to crash for the night but the boys were determined to watch a movie before we all settled down.

"Star Wars!" Tony shouted angrily at Mike.

"Turtle, we've watched that like 6 times already this week, you can't be serious!"

"I'm Dixie chick serious" the turtle mimicked Aubrey from Pitch Perfect. We all laughed at his spot on imitation and agreed on star wars.

We were about 30 minutes into the film and I was getting was bored, so I decided to head up to my room and get ready for sleeping. I peeled off my black skinny jeans and my red shirt and slipped into some gray marl trackies. As my head hit the pillow, a beautiful lilac haired girl crossed my mind, making me smile to myself. I grabbed my phone off my bedside and started composing a text:

BEAUTIFUL GIRL, DATE ME?

I read it over a couple of times before deciding it wasn't right, I erase the whole message and re-write it:

SWEET DYLAN, GO ON A DATE WITH ME?

Not wanting to make her uncomfortable, I left the message at that and sent it. Leaning back and allowing heavy head to sink into the soft pillow beneath it.

-

A hour or so passed and it was obvious I wasn't going to get a reply. I set my phone in its dock to start charging it and padded my way into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Once I was back, I went to remove the various bracelets that covered my left wrist, hiding my past, but was interrupted by the ringing coming from my docking station.

"Hello?" I answered not looking at the caller ID before I picked it up.

"Hey Vic?" The soft voice came out like a question, fragile and shaky.

"What's up Dylan?" Eyebrows furrowing together, I needed to make sure the petite girl was okay.

"I need to get out of here, can I take you up on that offer?" I smile at the thought that I was the person she called when she was upset even though we barely knew each other. It gave me hope. We agreed that she could drive to mine and spend the night if she needed to. It wasn't much of the date I was expecting but anytime with this new, exciting and mysterious girl was a bonus.

I slipped my phone into my pocket and hopped downstairs and into the kitchen setting out two black mugs and chucking a tea bag into them both. The kettle was already partly full, holding enough water for the two cups of tea, I flicked on the switch and waited for the water to boil.

It was 15 minutes after the call was made that Dylan got to our house. A small knock came through the door, unfortunately Jaime got too the door first, hitting on her before she could even say anything.

"Hola señorita, what is a fine girl such as yourself doing here at such a late hour" he purred at her, trying his best to be seductive.

"I'm looking for Vic" she frowns, causing small little lines to form on her forehead. Pointing an accusing finger at Jaime she changed the subject, "hey, you're that guy I walked in on making out with a staff member from your signing a couple of weeks back" making the flirtatious guy blush he backed away from the door and ran a hand through his hair.

"Vic, your girlfriends no fun" allowing her into the house before closing the door behind her and shuffling off to watch whatever DVD that star wars had been replaced by.
