Thursday 25th August,
I woke up to the sound of nature swaying right infront of the doorstep. I loved that sound and could listen on it from days on end. Unfortunately I had to leave the place I called home today as I was moving. I packedup literally everything I knew and loved and struggled down the stairs. I just couldn't believe all this was happening. I wholey blamed this on my step-father as he had married my mother. I knew they loved each other and all, but if it hadn't been for him then he wouldn't of had to move us from here. Not only did it upset me but it also broke the families life in the house. This house was from my family in generations but now that was being split apart.
As I slammed the boot of the car, I mourned like someone who had just lost their true love. My eldest sister, Helen, moaned, "Will you gust quit all this, Ellie!" gesturing at all of me. I turned away from her and stared at the house. I didn't like changes much but when this was happening, it felt like someone was taking out my heart and repeatedly splattering it on the ground. Mum walked towards me and glanced at my eyes. "Look, listen to me. I know this is hard for you and all, especially as you have fallen maddly in love with this place - " She stopped and giggled for a moment. "but sometimes changes have to happen. I promiss you one thing though. The new house is ten times better that this one. You'll love it!"
After a long drive - compacted with gossip and giggles and the occational silence - we were finaly there! One thing for sure though was that mum wasn't lying about me 'loving' the place. She knew I loved nature but I didn't expect what I saw right infront of my eyes. At the back of the house, there was a waterfall. I gawped, my mouth wide open. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked round. "Like it?" It was my step-dad. How did he know I loved stuff like this? I never verbally told him that I liked nature. "I love it, David, but how did you know I loved that sort of stuff?" I questioned him. " Easy! I asked your mother what each of you wanted and then we found this." Even I couldn't think of that geneus idea! I smiled at him and told him it was a great idea.
