The pain of the Dragon

Two days after the events of Phantom Lord everyone was back to normal. Some events happened like the discovery that Loke was actually a Celestial Spirit and then he made a contract with Lucy and became her Spirit.

Lucy and Erza had had a long and heartbreaking talk about how much they were sorry to each other for what each of them had done. Lucy asking forgiveness for not telling her story to them and for letting Hinami be kidnapped. While Erza asked to Lucy to forgive her for almost turning her to Phantom Lord. Both hug each other and cried in the other shoulder.

Mirajane had told everyone at the guild they had look ridiculous hugging each other on the floor while crying rivers of tears.

Master Makarov had recovered but Porlyusica had forbidden him from getting out of bed for a week so he was currently in the Infirmary where his children came to visit him.

"So that's what happened" said Makarov while stroking his beard while sitting up in the infirmary bed as he look at Erza and Mirajane who had finished telling him the events involving Natsu and his apprentice "They didn't talk to you girls or left anything?"

Erza blush while remembering the little note Natsu left in her bed. She shook her head and tried to camouflage her blush with her hair "No they didn't leave anything"

Makarov closed his eyes "Right" he said sighing "At least we know he is still alive" he looked at Mirajane "So as far as we know Jose is dead and the Phantom Lord disbanded with all of its members disappearing" he said in a question tone at the end.

"Well..." said Mirajane folding her hands behind her back.

"Well, what?" asked Makarov frowning at the white haired mage who laughed nervously.

"Someone came yesterday asking to join the guild" said Erza to him making him narrowed his eyes "A former Phantom Lord member" said Erza before walking to the door and opening it revealing a very nervous looking Juvia who was fidgeting with the hem of her sweater.

Erza nudge her to come closer to the Master. Erza and Mirajane exited the infirmary to let the two talk alone.

"What is your name, my dear?" he asked gently but strongly as well.

"M-My name is J-Juvia Lockser and if you allow me I would l-like to join Fairy Tail" she said bowing to Makarov.

"Why?" asked Makarov to her

"Why what?" asked Juvia.

"Why join the guild you were attacking two days ago? Why should I let join my guild someone from the guild that abused and ruined the lives of three of my children? Why should I not just simply attack you here?" he asked glaring Juvia who felt insignificant under the power of Makarov whose eyes were glowing. In front of Makarov were Levy, Jet and Droy, all sleeping. Only Droy had woke up but he quickly cried himself to sleep again.

Juvia look at the ground, thinking her answer. In reality she truly didn't knew why she was her at the moment.

(Why join Fairy Tail? Why is Juvia here just because some girl that beat Juvia tell her to?)

Her mind did turn thinking about the reasons of her current actions until Makarov spoke "Well? Are you going to answer?" he asked raising his eyes brow.

Juvia turn her gaze towards Levy who had bandages around her eyes and hands. Her lower body was covered by a white sheet. Juvia flinch when she realized that was the girl who her former friend had hurt.

(She looks so little and fragile. How could Gajeel hurt such a sweet looking girl?)

Her mind was fuzzy from the realization that she was a part of such a vile act. She felt guilty, like scum. Her chest hurt so much, it felt like a stab in the heart. She wanted to amend from her mistakes so she could stop feeling like this.
