From the corner of my eye, I saw Rohan Nanda raise his eyebrows. A tiny smirk had started to appear on his face. People would say that I had just insulted an actor but here he was, smiling? I was confused.
Without further or do, I carried on walking. Saira was calling out my name but I ignored her. It was my first mistake at work and probably a hefty one indeed.

Luckily, the boss had not approached me yet. It looks like the gossip doesn't spread as fast in the office as it does in the news. Saira kept going on and on about how I should not have said that, "he can sue you" and blah blah blah. I really was not in the mood for anything, especially talking about him.
Perhaps I was just a tad rude. I mean, he is a movie star after all so my job as a journalist (or should I say "gossip-writer") is to respect that. I do that all the time but this guy - I don't think he deserves it.
Enough talking about him, Saira just told me that the boss has bought me a flat, opposite hers. Not too bad. A new home is much needed after living in a horrendous hostel.

A tough, black iron gate was protecting a large, white mansion. The windows were tinted as if no one had the right to look inside. Guards were standing at every corner, not moving a single muscle. Saira turned my shoulder towards the right. That was a contrasting view. A tall tower, which was 20 storeys high, stood there. It was rather peculiar looking compared to its neighbour on the left.
"You really think that mansion is our studio flat? Come on Naina" exclaimed Saira as we walked towards the flat. I turned to look at that house and shook my head.
It was midnight and I was standing on my balcony, admiring the landscape of Mumbai, which was hidden behind the white mansion. The aroma of coffee wafted its way towards my nose and I drank it. Suddenly, I noticed a pair of eyes staring at me. I jumped. Standing on the balcony opposite to mine was Rohan Nanda. So it was his house. Just great. Did I seriously have to be his neighbour?
He waved and yet again he had a smirk on his face. I forced on a smile and started to walk off when he shouted my name.
"Naina, I said hi"
"Okay, so do I really need to say hi back?"
"Well it's considered polite if you do"
"Hi"He just looked at me, with a "seriously?" face. I walked off to my room and heaved a sigh of relief. I did not like him. To me, he has this ego that every girl loves him. I still don't understand why I hate him so much. I'm making this job harder for myself. One day, I'll have to interview him on camera and my face can't show any sign of hate otherwise his so called fans will hate on me. Maybe I hated him because he's an "industry kid" and they get all sorts of favours compared to the ones who toil so hard to even reach the doorstep of a film studio. Sometimes, I feel like the star kids receive unnecessary hate because it's clearly not their fault their father is an actor. Then why do I hate him so much? I guess I will just have to figure it out myself. But now, it's time for some food. Food is probably the only thing that will bring the biggest grin on my face. Talk to me about food and I will love you forever!

It was a new morning and apparently the boss was out of town. Yes, no roasting for me! Another not-so-hectic day dawned upon me. My day consisted of searching every single Bollywood star on social media to see what they are up to. So far, I had searched 50 and I was tired. Everyone was doing the same old thing. The next person on my list was Rohan Nanda. I signed and typed his name into the search bar on Instagram. He was doing a live chat for his fans and I decided to click on his icon since I had no choice. He was continuously interacting with his fans, answering questions regarding his upcoming movie and was even singing and dancing.
"Hi Naina"
My eyes widened in horror as I stared at his face, mouthing my name.
