The least expected thing

I wake up and I feel much better from being sick, and I gladly get out of bed and go to put on some clothes. When I go out of my room to the stairs I stop by the first few steps and I hear 2 voices talking to each other, I first hear Jelly's voice but the other voice sounds like a man's voice. I can't see much of what's going on but I see Jelly standing by the door and talking to the man,
- Look you can't just come out of nowhere back on her life, you dumbass left her, she needed you.. but you weren't there for her.. like you were supposed to.
Jelly sounded upset and a bit disappointed.
- Look I'm sorry ok? I just I don't know what to do ok?!
- Well I know what you should do, leave
Jelly sounds like he doesn't want me to see this "person" at the door. My eyes widen and I struggle to breathe as I see who it is at the door. It's.. it's my.. dad..
I sit down on the stairs and curl up into a ball and start to cry. Jelly closes the door and locks it and when he turns around he hears me crying and he runs up to me.
- Liv?! You ok?!
I'm in a loss of words as all I can do is cry.
- Y-You saw didn't you?..
I nod slightly.
- I'm so sorry Liv..
- I-It's o-ok...
- No it isn't.. he can't just leave you and then just try to get back in your life just like that..
- I-I know...
- Don't worry Liv, I won't let him get to you..
- T-Thank you for everything Jelly..
I give him a big hug.
- Anything for you..
He says and he kisses my cheek.
