Dear Cupid

I do not want to drown in illusions,
I want to fly like a bird in the skies.
So why do I expect for love's demise
Yet never submit to my emotions?

Dear Cupid, I beg you, don't be stupid;
If you hit me with your bow and arrow,
Make me fall in love, not fall in sorrow,
I am tired of always being wounded.

Please snap me out of all my delusions.
Give me someone who doesn't lie,
Someone who loves me and not say good bye,
A heart to move with mine in slow motion.
