Chapter 25: Dammit Jerome

Mitch's POV

"We need to figure out what the hell that fucker is." Ty growled, annoyed and pissed.

A few people had agreed to come over to Adam's house to talk about what was going on. Jerome, Jason, Seto, Ty, Taylor, Ian, and I stood around his small kitchen table.

"'That fucker' called himself Skybrine. Why would it be copying Herobrine's name?" After Taylor spoke everyone turned to look at Seto.

"Adam told you what happened didn't he? That's why you vanished?" Jason raised an eyebrow and I heard Seto curse under his breath.

"Yes. He did, but Jason, I assume you guessed already." He looked at everyone's face in turn. Jason nodded hesitantly. "We aren't dealing with a rouge witch or a sorcerer," Seto continued. "We are dealing with Herobrine." I snorted and Jerome let out a barking laugh.

"You expect us to believe that?" Seto narrowed his eyes at Jerome's remark.

"Jerome, you believed he was fine after asking him what the hell the circumference of the sun was. I think you should just shut your mouth and listen." Jerome growled and Seto glared back.

"Let's calm down." Ian glanced around at everyone uneasily. The door closed behind them and everyone turned around to see who it was.

Toxic stood in the door, half her body sticking out and half of it in. She gave a nervous smile and waved. "H-Hey... Is it hot in here or is it just me?" After a split second she disappeared outside. Justin and Angel seemed to have made it outside before any of us had noticed.

Seto stared after Tox before turning to Mitch. "Go find out what your friends are up to, they need to remember this isn't some game."

"They aren't my frie-"

He cut Mitch off. "Your the only one here who knows them, so go figure out what the hell they are doing." He looked over at Ian. "Ian go with him."

"Why do I have to go?" Ian made a slight pouty face.

"Because you were unconscious most of the time." Seto countered. In all honesty he was starting to sound like a mother. It was scary.

Ian grumbled before coming over to me and helping me stand. We limped over to the door and Ian let go of me for a moment to open it.

We stepped out and Justin, Angel, and Toxic looked up. The trio was standing just outside of the cabin.

"Are t-they done fighting y-yet?" Justin stuttered and Ian glanced around.

"Probably not." He muttered before letting go of me and stretching. "So now wh-"

"GOD DAMMIT JEROME JUST SHUT AND LISTEN FOR A MINUTE!" Seto's angry yell echoed from inside the small house.

Mitch gave a shy smile. "Why don't we go for a little walk?"

Sorry for the short chapter buds. I've been busy with work and all, but I'll try to have another chapter out very soon to make up for it.

Unfortunately, we are almost to the end of Startled, and I'm in the middle of planning the next book. I'm happy to say that the next few chapters are going to be action packed and bloody, just as I promised :P
