Song: Ready to Go (Get Me Out Of My Mind), Panic! At The Disco

~~~
The girl is wary about the entire situation. I mean she hadn't seen Josh in person for probably 2 years. Maybe longer, but she looked very different now regardless. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to go, but she needed to help out her lifelong best friend. She couldn't just leave him stuck, especially because it was her friends best friend. That was just not an option. So she went. Or at least was going to once she got the address.
'What's your address again?'
It was a quick text, but Josh isn't the most reliable person in the world and probably wouldn't answer. This caused the girl to just abandon her phone at her desk whilst she went into her roommate's room.
"Zoe?" Niamh asked her younger friend.
"What now you rat?" This was a normal interaction between the two. But to outsiders, it seemed demeaning and rude.
"I'm going over to a friends house for a couple hours I think. Is that cool?" The older girl needs to make sure as the younger is in an interesting state at the minute.
The younger girl has been in the wars. I mean she's been through heartbreak and then leg break. That and she was told her parents were getting a divorce. The older girl really felt for her younger friend. She understood what all three were like, but not at the same time. It must be difficult, but she seemed to be dealing with it well.
"You have friends? Since when?" Zoe is definitely handling it well if she's making jokes like that.
"Yes Zoe, I know. But it's just Josh, so I don't really." Niamh just jokes back at her friend
"He doesn't count though. He's a twat anyway." Zoe says dismissing the thought of Josh bluntly.
"Thanks for the input Zoe." The older says walking out of her friend's room back into her own.
She checks back on her phone surprisingly seeing a reply from Josh. It was the quickest, most Josh-like response of just the address and nothing else. Niamh just left her room shoving her phone and keys in her pocket. She walked all the way to the door when she realised she hadn't put any shoes on.
"Fucking balls" Niamh mumbles grumpily to herself as she has to walk back to her room. She just grabs the first pair of shoes she sees, which happens to be her Yeezy's. She slips them on and returns back to the front door.
"Peace and pout Zoe." Niamh yells into the house. It was obviously aimed at Zoe, but in some ways the house too.
Niamh knew she wouldn't be back for quite a long while. This was film they were talking about. A conversation about it could last a lifetime. But it was also Josh. Niamh had to catch up on about 2 years of his life, and him, hers. But, never the less, she needed to get things done as well. She had more than just things to get done. She needed to edit her most recent creation too. It wasn't her best creation, it was most definitely one of her worst. Something about it made her not want it to exist, but this was by all means not uncommon for the girl. She thought she may be able to edit the flaws and make something she felt worthwhile sharing.
As Niamh got in her car she felt nervous. Extraordinarily nervous for someone of her calibre. Perhaps it was the thought of seeing Josh. Or the thought of meeting a man she had heard a lot about. Someone who seemed so similar in thought to herself. Whatever the reason was, it was bothering her. But she had to carry on because that's just the way life goes. Or at least that's how she thought it went.
The mysterious girl that Josh failed to mention made Simon curious. She seemed intelligent, creative and quite a lot like Simon. So how was he not introduced to this seemingly perfect girl?
Simon knew Josh was hiding something. It was obvious if anything. But why would he hide something from his best friend?
All Simon knew is that he'd finally be able to create something he felt he could truly love and relate to. Not that all of his content wasn't like that, it's just that this one would be from the heart.
Simon stayed put in his spot in the kitchen. Only moving when taking a sip of his drink. He was stuck in his thoughts. Mostly on this new important part in his life, but also about how he's changed. Perhaps for the better. But he knows his audience would be as loving as they can, maybe not all of them but most. His biggest worry, however, is the way his friends would react. The rest of the sidemen thought he was loving what he was doing. When in reality, life has been made difficult due to the way he's been unable to create products of himself that make him happy.
A change is certainly necessary. Perhaps it should have come sooner. If Simon was aware there was a way out without letting everyone down sooner he may have been able to change his state of being now. Or at least that what he thought. This was not the case. He was not aware of it yet but everything turned out to be timed perfectly. For everyone else at least, not really for him.
