Baby Bella

Chapter Two: Love at Second Sight

Edward's POV

   It had been three months since a beautiful little baby girl came into our lives. I hated her in the beginning. I mean, what if she gave away our secret? But she's touched my heart in a way no one else has ever done. And I know she loves me. I see the same gleam in her eyes when she looks at me as the one as Rosalie to Emmett, Alice to Jasper, and Esme to Carlisle. I loved her. 

   "Eddie boy, get outta your dreams, Bella's crying!" Em yelled in my ear. I jumped up. He was right. Bella was sitting on the ground, in blue footie pajamas, tears streaming down her face. She was adorable, even when crying. Lia, a sixteen year old vampire, was trying to calm her, but didn't dare pick her up. That would make it worse. I strode over to my sister.

   I scooped her up and held her to my chest. Bella immediately stopped wailing and reached a tiny hand to trace the features of my face. Lia snapped pictures as I kissed her. I loved her so much. In fact, I think I may have fallen in love with her, more than a brother, tiny bit less than a lover. Carlisle thought to me, "We'll talk later, son." 

   Rose came in, her arms outstretched. "Don't hog her. She is my godchild," Rosalie said, snatching Bella from me. When Carlisle had signed the adoption from, he gave the role of godparents to Rosalie and Emmett. Lia moved in with us, so she became her aunt. 

   I sighed and sat down beside Lia. I knew Lia had a thing for me, but unlike Tanya, she tried not to show it. Lia knew and respected that I had feelings for Bella. 

   Rosalie sat down on the couch, Emmett by her side, holding Bella in her lap. She was cooing at her, stroking her face, bouncing her-doing everything a mother should do. Emmett was a good borther...sort of. He liked playing with her in ways that Rose didn't approve of. I sat back to drown in my thoughts...

FLASHBACK

  "What's her name?" Lia asked. She had just arrived, bags in hand. We'd agreed to her living with us immediately. 

   "Her full name is Isabella Rosalice Jaspett Hale Whitlock McCarthy Masen Cullen. But we want everyone to call her Bella," Esme said. Lia smiled but cocked her head. 

   "Jaspett? Oh, wait Jasper and Emmett, got it...that sounds completely wrong!" Em and Jazz looked like they could be blushing, if they were human like Bella. Lia suddenly frowned. 

   "When are you changing her? Who's doing it? Gimme details!" Rosalie stepped forward, Bella snuggled into her chest. 

   "Bella is my godchild, and I have the responsibilty of choosing who will change her. As of now, it is going to be done when Bella is sixteen, on Semptember 7th. It will be done by two people. Me and Edward. Carlisle says that if two people change someone, they usually have an extraordinary gift, like Benjamin or Zafrina. Alice had a vision of Bella at the age of ten pleading to Esme to change her then and we all had an awkward conversation explaining immortal children. Questions?" Rose bounced Bella up and down as she started to cry. 

END OF FLASHBACK

   Of course, some of that information had changed. Now, three vampires would be changing Bella: Rosalie, Lia, and me. Lia and Bella were close. Very close. But I was closer, I was the one who always held her, the one who fed her, the one who played with her, the one who loved her more than a brother-the one who stopped her tears.

Two months later...

   Bella was five months now and very small for her age. Rose always fretted it over it, but Carlisle just said it was due to her birth. The one Carlisle had shown me two months ago. I remember clearly...

FLASHBACK

  "Edward, sit." Carlisle and I were in his office after Bella had gone to bed. He gave me a serious look. 

   "I understand you have feelings for my daughter, yes?" I nodded eagerly. "I'm sorry Carlisle, I couldn't help it, but how can I feel this way about a child?" I wondered. Carlisle sat back, ready to explain. 

   "I did lots of research and here's what I found. As you know, the shapeshifters from La Push imprint. Well, so do vampires, but we do it a little bit differently. It's an Imprint, for one thing, not a little mousy i, our Imprints are what we live for. A vampire Imprint is when you look into your soul mate's eyes. And then, you have found your other half. But there is one problem. If the Imprinter kisses his/her Imprint, he/she stops aging forever. Normally, it would be fine, but with Bella, you'll need to wait. Unless, of course, you wish for your true love to remain a toddler forever. That would not be fair. So you cannot kiss her on the lips, but you can kiss her anywhere else," Carlisle explained. He then showed me a memory through his thoughts.

   Carlisle was pounding on a baby's chest while blowing air into her mouth. She was covered in red blood and I smelled its delectable scent through his accurate memory. Thats when I realized that my baby Bella almost died, if Carlisle had not been working that day. And it might've been Rosalie's fault that Bella died. She had wanted Carlisle to stay to explain something to her, but it was I who told him to go. 

END OF FLASHBACK

  Suddenly, Alice and Rosalie ran in, a little girl in Alice's arms. She was giggling as Rose tried to get Bella from Alice. ALice dropped Bella into my arms and I looked down.

   Bella was in my arms. She mattered more than the world. I knew that I had once hated her, but was glad that I changed perspectives.

   I ran quickly out of Carlisle's office and to my meadow, where my granite skin began to sparkle like diamonds shimmering.

   I sat down in my meadow, gazing at my baby Bella, who was cradled on my lap. She reached her hand out to me. "E-Edward." It had come from a five month old Bella Rosalice Jaspett Hale Whitlock McCarthy Masen Cullen.

I know it was short again, but I wanted to upload Eternity Is Mine. Ive got plans, guys.. Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! *snickers evilly*

So I had this thing that I wanted to share with yall. I want to put all my stories on hold and just finish one of them cuz I have so many unfinished stories. Which one should I finish????
