Imagine Dragons plays softly in the background as I hunch over my desk struggling to write my English essay that's due in less than ten hours.
I start as strong, warm arms wrap around me and a voice whispers in my ear the next line to the song," I'll bleed out for you, for you."
I relax after I realize the voice belongs to my boyfriend, Dylan.
"Dammit, Dyl! You scared the crap out of me! I didn't hear you sneak in!"
The thing is my parents kinda don't want me seeing Dylan. They think Dylan's not to be trusted and he's going to bring nothing but pain and conflict into my life.
My ass.
"Your window was open, so I just let myself in", he says", you aren't upset, are you? Because if you are, I can go. I mean, I wanted to surprise you, but I see now that you're working on your essay, and I know-"
I turn around in his arms, stand up, and press my lips to his. He makes a quiet sound of surprise in the back of his throat. I smile into his lips and gently break away.
He gives me a puzzled look, "What was that for?"
"Just because," I say and quickly peck his lips before I back out of his embrace and resume my position at my desk.
I hear him sigh and sit down on my bed. He starts tapping quietly on the bed post.
I look up synonyms for 'best'.
Tap...tap...tap...tap...tap...
'Greatest', 'most favorite', 'nicest'
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Then 'enjoy'
Tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap
'Like', 'pleased', 'love'
TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP
I whip around and tackle him onto my bed.
"Stop," I sternly say as I look into his brown eyes.
"Okay," he whispers and lifts his head enough to lightly brush his lips against mine.
Love. That word comes plowing to the front of my consciousness.
Love. In that one millisecond I know, for certain, that I love him.
I pull back and rest my forehead on his.
"You," I say.
"What?" He breathes.
"The synonym of enjoy, of love."
He smiles,"I love you, too."

So I'm sorry I haven't updated in forever but that means I've been jam-packed with lots of cute one-shot ideas! I'll write as fast as I can, maybe updating twice a week, but I don't know yet.
