Jasper was a sad ghost, not knowing how he died made him confused and left him feeling lost and often depressed. He would often float around not knowing what to do or how to pass on, he didn't even know if he could talk to people or give them a sign he was there. He didn't know what year it was or how long it's been, he couldn't remember who he really was before except for his name. He didn't even know if he had a family, he was all alone in the world.
One day he was just floating around some random neighborhood, in his mindless depressive state, and he noticed you, sitting in the window of your bedroom, listening to music and reading some book. Something about you was. Familiar. He went up to your window and watched as you read. It had made him feel safe for some reason, just watching you from outside, hidden in a tree. He naturally wanted to know more about you, who you were, it was almost out of impulse. He sat in the tree outside your window and just watched you, listening to the music. He felt so at ease and so relaxed that his pale white skin turned a light pink along with his clothes. He found it slightly odd but didn't really think about it. "A girl like her wouldn't notice me..." He thought aloud to himself. You looked up over you book, thinking you heard something and when you looked out the window you saw what looked like the reflection of a boy. You just shrugged it off and ignored it. "Did she see me?" He thought to himself aloud. "She couldn't have seen me. No one can..." He went back to feeling gloomy and turned back into his natural pale white.
Later on that night you went to sleep, having left your window open a crack to let in the cold air. Jasper snuck back to your window and phased through it, where he watched you sleep. He became at ease and relaxed again.
After watching you for about a half hour he had turned a more beige and his clothes more colorful. He just floated above you, not a care in the world.
Not in this world but in another, is where I live and hide.
Separated from everyone and invisible. You see me I think, I don't really know.
Separated by cruel fate, aside, pushed away, forgotten. But you put me at ease. Am I in love, maybe? The next day he was gone when you awoke, having had an interesting dream about a boy you don't know, in a world full of chaos. Something about this boy was interesting. Nothing you can simply explain. So you shook it off, got out of bed, and went to get ready for the day. But what you didn't know was that someone was following you, trailing behind like a guard, so to speak. Jasper was watching her, following her like a lost puppy. He grew an attachment, a cling that pulled him along. He followed her around school and around town, and when she got home she did his favorite thing. She grabbed her book, played some music, and sat at the windowsill to read. He sat on the branch of the tree outside her window and watched her. He loved this for some odd reason, making him feel at ease in such a weird way. But he didn't question it, he liked the feeling he would get from just merely watching this girl. He turned pink again and became slightly noticeable. But you didn't notice him.
That night as you got ready for bed, you got a slight chill. You went and closed your window and got under the covers to keep from the cold air in your bedroom. Jasper was floating around your room, calm and more on the beige side again. You slowly fell asleep in bed, book in hand and not all the way under the covers. Jasper wanted to make you look more comfortable. He didn't think it would work but he took the book, set it on the bedside table and pulled the blanket over your body more so you don't get cold. "Did I really just do that?" He asked himself. He looked himself over and noticed he was a lot less. Transparent. He glanced to you and blinked, not knowing how to really feel, so he watched you sleep for a long time, floating over you as he watched you protectively.
An angel, fallen and brought into the would to live a normal life.
Why can't I be with you, and touch you, feel your warmth.
To be able to hold you, and protect you, be there until you depart. The next day you woke up from such a beautiful dream. That boy was in it again. So soft spoken and passionate about his words. So careful and delicate, yet strong and protective. Who is this boy? As you got out of bed and went over to the mirror, you saw a faint reflection of someone other than you. You cocked your eyebrow and turned around, seeing a faint outline of a boy and it almost made you gasp, and it seemed to startle him. You slowly reached your hand out to see if he was really there and as you slowly reached out your hand, Jasper was hesitant, but reached out as well.
You touched.
