First but Not the Last

A challenge Maria had to face at such a young age is a break up. She cared for this guy with all her heart but to this day she wonders did he care for her at all? Or was he just playing her. He was her everything. But was she his?

Maria was new to the neighborhood. All she wanted was a new start and hopefully make some  friends. After a few months she had made a few friends. She started to date this guy tall, tan, and nerdy looking. Everyone called him, "Big Bird" not for his big bird. When the relationship Maria had with Big Bird was falling apart she met Nicholas.

He was a sweet and kind boy. When they became closer she found out that he was in a few of her classes. Then after a while Maria stated to developing feelings for him. But he was in a relationship. So they just kept the conversations friendly. After a while he broke up with his girlfriend; Veronica (she was one of Maria's friends.) Veronica blamed Maria because she saw her talking to him as if "flirting." But Maria tried to talk to her and try not to make it look as bad as she made it. But since that bitch was a fighter she was looking for a fight. Maria wasn't down with that, plus she's never been in a fight before and at the end it's just not even worth one blow to the face.

Then Big Bird broke up with Maria. This ass-whole broke up with her on her little brothers second birthday and it was only a few days after their six months anniversary (like who the fuck does that.)

A few months after Big Bird broke up with Maria. Nick and Maria started to date. their time together was magical. she thought they were going to last forever. but one day one of her best friends at the time told her, "Maria be careful don't get to comfortable with him. It's said to be that he plays with every girlfriend he has." But she ignored it because she is ignorant like that. after a few weeks she noticed that he would flirt with other girls.

She heard through the grapevine that Nick cheated on her with two different girls three different times. He told her, "I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to hurt you. She came up to me. I love you. I never want to let you go. Please don't break up with me." She said, "You should have thought about that before you even layed your eyes on some other girls when you alreay have someone." Nick said, "Okay. I guess this it is. Can I at least get a goodbye kiss?" She leaned in but right when they were going to kiss she bitch slapped him so his cheek turned bright red. Before he could even say anything she walked away.

After this Maria felt as if she didn't deserve any happines or love because of how badly he mistreated her. When she would get home she would go straight to her room, do her homework, and quietly cry. when it was tiem for dinner Maria wouldn't talk or make any eye contact. Her mom, Lucero, would always ask her, "What's wrong mija? You hardly talk any. Is everything at school okay?" Maria would say, "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just tired. Can I go I have a lot of homework." She would say, "Okay." Then would go back to her room and cry even more.

When there was food around Maria. She would stuff her face because she thought she wasn't pretty and worthless. She even thought of killing herself because of all the pain she was put through. Then she really thought about it and said to herself, "He's not really that worth it. Plus I have my whole life ahead of me."

(Mind that all this happends during winter break)

After a few weeks of Nick pleading Maria back and for forgiveness. The same friend who told her that he was a player said, " Wow!!!! I've never seen him beg for anything in my life. He must really love you." So Maria thought about it. The next day he came to school with a big bear and told her, "Maria, my love, my everything I am soooooooooooo sorry for how I've misstreated you. I will never do that again. Never. Will you forgive me and take me back." So of course Maria's responce was, "Awwwwww baby I love you too. And yes I will take you back." She gave him a hug and the biggest and longest kisses she's every had with so much passion and love.

Then she broke up with him after a few months because she didn't feel the passion anymore. After a week of school. She heard from all of her friends that he had already found another girlfriend. Of course her first exstint is to go to Nick in person and ask, "Are all the rumors true?" He just looked sad and before a single sound escaped from his mouth she slapped him hard that all of her and his friends were watching. All of Nicks friends yelled out, "Damn!!!!! Man you have really done it now.!!!!!!!" After that she ran off crying and he went running after her. He was trying to tell her how sorry he was (again.) But she said, while crying, "Forget about it you dick. This was a test to see if you would go for another girl. You failed!!!!! Leave me alone." He tried to hug her but she pushed his cheating ass away from her.

Now years later when they see each other they still flirt. Even though their past is horrible. Maria still cares about him deeply. Maria thinks he know and secretly he does too, deep down that cold heart of his, he still cares. Now they just have a very sexy flirtationship.
