'O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name.
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.'

Andy stood before me, doe eyed waiting for my answer. He had insisted on meeting up at my place to rehearse our parts but I wanted to get ready for tonight. He pleaded and pleaded and when I realized that this was getting no where, I gave in. The sooner we get this done, the better.
But I just couldn't wrap my mind as to why Shakespeare could not just use normal English and I said so.

'Why couldn't he just say,Oh, Romeo, Romeo, why do you have to be Romeo? Forget about your father and change your name. Or else, if you won't change your name, just swear you love me and I'll stop being a Capulet. But no! We're here speaking this godforsaken form of English. I swear if I hear another thou I'll shove thou into a trash can🌚.'

He smirked and grabbed my hand. 'I'd love to place my lips on thy lips my Romeo.'

That was it. I thumped him on the head and picked up my script. 'We have an hour to finish this and for you to get your ass out of my house.' That seem to get him going as he scrambled to his feet and quickly found his place.

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy:
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? It is nor hand nor foot
Nor arm nor face nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O be some other name.
What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.'

I let out a heavy breath and begun my lines,
'I take thee at thy word.
Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized.
Henceforth I never will be Romeo.

45 minutes later

...
Amen, amen. But come what sorrow can,
It cannot countervail the exchange of joy
That one short minute gives me in her sight.
Do thou but close our hands with holy words,
Then love-devouring death do what he dare;
It is enough I may but call her mine.'

Andy groaned and set his script down. 'I think we should stop here, I'm beat. And I'm not just referring to The countless times you hit me but I'm seriously tired so you can go and do whatever you plan to do.'

I slumped into the nearest sofa and pointed towards the door. 'That's your exit, now out.' Disbelief clouded his face as he packed his stuff. 'You sure know how to kill the vibe of a poor hormonal teenage boy hoping to get some tonight.' He stared at me with doe eyes but slowly moved towards the door as he saw me reach for the poker. 'You know what? On second thoughts, I think my sister needed me to get some stuff for her so I'll just be going now.'

He fled so quick I felt the pop sound of air rushing to take his place. Talk about fight or flight.

I'm sorry guys
I just had my results for my end of school and exams and I passed!
Right now I'm just waiting for the school placements and I'll be off.
I need serious motivation to continue this book or I'll end up deleting it.
