It was like this every time.Every day he came by,
and every day he would only be there for one thing.
A single red rose.
You never knew why he did, but it was one of your most active customers. And yet every time you tried to ask, he only replied with.
"It's going to aid me in winning a heart."
That's all.
That strange man usually came in donned in a black leather jacket and shades that never seem to show his eyes. His dark brown hair was in an outdated bowl-cut that was styled neatly.
He always intrigued you. How many roses did he need to win a single heart? Was the special someone hard to woo?
A sigh left your lips as you leaned against the counter, you used one arm as support while the other had it's hand run through your [hair length] tussles. It was neck deep into summer now, and this man has visited constantly since the start of spring. It was strange, how much he would do for this special someone. I guess love really does stuff to you.
You shook your head as to get rid of your current thoughts about the man and looked around your shop. It was a quaint little flower shop to be honest, not that much activity, and only a few ever came here regularly. The most busy it ever gets is during the holidays, Valentines, Easter, Christmas, you know - the usual.
Other than that, it's mostly quiet.
Only you and your flowers. Your wonderful flowers. A smile crept onto your face at the thought of them. They were all so beautiful and you made sure that they stay that way. You tended and cared for them. They're basically your friends.
You see, you never really got out, and usually kept to yourself. It's a miracle you even run a shop. But keeping to yourself has given you much time to read all sorts of things. Most importantly, flowers.
You never knew why, but when you first started reading your first flower book, you were completely fascinated. All their meanings, shapes, sizes, colors. Just everything about them! They held a sort of fond place in your heart.
That fascination turned into a hobby, and that hobby turned into a full on job. And that's how you got up to here. Though you don't make as much money as you would like, parents were always kind enough to send over some cash to support you.
You were brought out of your thoughts when a chime of the front door opening. Your [eye color] orbs looked up from the counter to meet that man you were thinking of earlier. Except this time, he wasn't in his usual leather clad outfit, he was in a blue jumpsuit that was opened slightly to show off a black shirt and a golden chain necklace. Most importantly, his shades were finally off - but instead latching into the black shirt.
His face wasn't anything special, it was just his eyebrows. You never really noticed them until now. DEAR LORD! They're seriously on fleek there. Better then yours by a long shot.
You casted your eyes away from the godly eyebrows and got up from your lazing position on the counter to fully greet the man. You waved casually as you dusted some imaginary dust off your [fave color] work apron, "Hey there, welcome. Is it the usual?"
The man seemed to stiffen up a little bit before quickly relaxing and giving you a... charming look to say in the least. "Heh. Sadly not my dear. For it isn't time for me to win a heart. Instead, I would simply like to get to know a flower of this beauty better."
At his word choice, an eyebrow raised up, clearly questioning him. But you shook the questions aside and simply shrugged. You looked back up with a half smirk of sorts."So, mystery rose guy finally wants to talk properly. Hm, okay."
You leaned back onto the counter seeing there was no work to be done and looked up at the jumpsuit clad man, "So, what's your name?"
"It's Matsuno Karamatsumy dear, now don't go around forgetting it~" He said with a wink, smirking proudly. Ah, so the flirt type. I think I know what's going on here now.
You hummed in satisfaction, "Well Mr. Karamatsu," you said, testing out his name on your tongue, "I'm [Your full name], the person you've been buying flowers from for over a few months now."
You offered out your hand for him to shake, and he was just about to take it. But then there was a sudden slam of the door and the loud voices overtaking the peaceful conversation.
"Haha wow, so this is where Karamatsu has been sneaking off to lately!"
"Osomatsu quiet down!"
"Hmph. There you are Shittymatsu."
"Pretty flowers! Pretty flowers!"
"What a cute shop."
Both you and Mr. Flirt look forward in surprise to see 5 more guys with the same face as the man in front of me looking around and chattering away like birds early in the morning.
That surprise settled onto a interested face as you scanned them all over.
They were all also wearing jumpsuits of different colors and styles, and had the same haircut as Karamatsu over here. They all seemed to have clashing personalities though.
Meanwhile, Karamatsu was in a panicked state. Why are his brothers here?! They never really cared for him, so why now? What brought them forth to ruin his chances with this lovely person? God, they have the worst timing. He looked over expecting you to be panicked as well, but instead saw a curious face with intrigue written all over it. You opened your mouth, and what you said silenced them all.
"Huh, so there's more of you. Intriguing."
