'Scarlet was alone. She had fled from her cozy apartment from which she had lived in for many years, she was happy. Until her mother passed away from a car accident a month ago. Then her father ended up drinking heavily, just as heavily as the punches he'd lunge at his own daughter, aged 15. So she ran, and ran, till she was out of breath and found herself in an alleyway. She had no idea where she was, the fog was pretty heavy, made worse by the snow. Suddenly, a figure appeared before her, cloaked both in shadow and dense fog. She had no one to call to, she was alone. Before she could even ask who was there, a powerful pain rushed through her, she started feeling cold. She was alone. She went to feel her stomach, it was replaced with a crimson liquid, she was alone. She felt something rush up her throat and out of her mouth, it was warm and tasted of iron, and vomit. She was alone. She fell to the cold, white and red floor. She died alone.' 'Hey frank, you're makin' me depressed with your dramatic deductions!' Said Danny. 'Sorry Danny, I like a bit of drama.' Danny lit a cigarette. 'This is the fifth one in a month Frank' Frank let out a sigh as he stood up over the corpse of Scarlet Hammond. 'D'you wanna know what pisses me off about the snow Danny?' 'Screws up the evidence?' 'Screws up the evidence.' The coroner came over. 'I can estimate that she's been dead for the past twelve or so hours, roughly between 2300 hours to midnight, and yet again, a massive gaping hole where her guts should be.' 'Any idea on a weapon?' Frank asked, but was met with a sigh. 'Honestly detective, I haven't a clue... though it's obviously not an axe, or a knife, nor a gun.' 'Understood, thanks...' Frank lit a cigarette next to his partner Danny, just as soon as Danny had finished his. 'This is a mess Frank, five dead women in a month, with no connections, or evidence!' 'Tell me about it, you forgot the fact that we haven't got any eye witnesses either.' Danny sighed 'yeah, thanks for the wake up call detective Valentine...' 'don't mention it detective Dewitt' Danny let out a chuckle. 'Smartass. cmon let's get some coffee...' they left the crime scene, managing to avoid the press.
