I wrote this for one of my IGCSE English assessments,but thought of publishing it anyway,please do forgive my boring plot and writing,I am working on improving it.Hope you guys will enjoy and I will add some more short stories which I promise will be more interesting.And guys,your comments are heavily appreciated.

Sun rose from the horizon,gleaming upon the wet roads,the morning breeze with the smoke from the vehicles and factories rushed away.Vehicles were flying this way and that,honking as they went,as if letting the world know about their presence with harsh sounds and smoke was not enough.
Another typical day for many.
Except for her,whose life was about to take a huge turn,on this new soil,to better she hoped...
The little girl,who used to run in the lush green forests of the village,who chased butterflies around her garden,who swam in the village river,now,a beautiful young woman,fortunate enough to be educated from one of the best universities of the country,got up,ready to start her new life...
She looked very care-free,like a symbol of youth and freedom,but on her shoulders rode a million hopes.Her mother's,father's and everybody else's.They educated her with all their strength,time and money,in the hope that one day she would go to a good college,learn well and earn to support the education of the youngsters in her family.yes,she did win a scholarship to a leading university,a learning institute with all the facilities a girl from nowhere could wish for.But,will she be able to make parents proud?Fulfill the hopes she was bearing?Compete with the students here and win?Not very likely,they came from the richest families around the country,equipped with the best facilities to make their college experience better.In the classroom they had the best learning aids where she wasn't able to even buy all the text books,on the running track they wore the best sports gear where she ran barefoot.But,in the midst of all these disadvantages she had achieved so much,maybe this was one of those times,or maybe not.Her heart was absorbing all the doubt of her mind.
'No',she thought,she couldn't give up.Just because her competitors were equipped better and unfairly too well gifted,she was not going to give up.It would take up all her strength and courage,maybe even more than that,but she won't let her family down,she will make their dreams come true,just like hre's.
She peeped out of the high risen dormitory,''rise and shine'',the sun seemed to yell.First day of college,nobody would want to be late.In no time she was being sweeped towards a huge building,gleaming with white with a ocean of wealthy looking kids from all corners of the world.They will be sharing lives with her for another three years.
Here,the days were different.There was a strict schedule authorized by strict teachers,tiring lessons to listen to and new rules to stick to.She felt like a bird with it's wings cut off,like a kite without wind to rise it,but,no,noway she was going to back off!
She fell on her new bed of the new dormitory of the new college,after a tiring day of new rules,new regulations,new teachers,new lessons and a very new home-sick feeling.Her shimmering hazel brown eyes closed,her mind raced away.
She thought about how one day she will step out of this university as a fresh graduate with all her academic and non-academic achievements,how she will start working,doing something to the world,supporting her younger brothers and sisters...
