~~Ruby Rose <3 Weiss Schnee~~

"C'mon! Ruby! You have to do it sometime! You can't just sit here watching her like a hawk forever! At least let her know you love her!" Yang was getting frustrated by this point.

Yang found out about her little sister's crush on the heiress, and this was the last month before Christmas break. She found out a few weeks before Ruby actually told her, so now she wanted Ruby to ask her. Ruby was being stubborn as usual, and refused.

"No! She's just my best friend, and it's going to stay like that!" Ruby responded. "But don't you love her Ruby? Your just scared aren't you? Seriously, Ruby? Your not scared of Grimm! Tell her, and if she says yes, then I am proud of you. If she says no, then I'll beat her up for you." Yang smiled as she seen Ruby immediately get up from the chair she was sitting in. "Fine! I will! Just hold on while I think about it." "Oh my god! Just go! She's in the library!" Yang walked over to her and put her hand on her shoulder. "You got this." She then pulled Ruby into a small hug. "Yang, I don't know..." "I'll be here for you if you need it. So go get her tiger!" Yang pushed Ruby out and gave her a thumbs up. "Okay, I'll be back in a little bit." Ruby responded and Yang closed the door.

Now, Ruby was utterly nervous. She didn't know how the heiress would react, she didn't know how she would respond, and she was scared. Yang would obviously be there for her, like she said, but the heiress was her partner, and if she ruined their relationship, then it would be difficult to cooperate with each other, along with the awkwardness, they wouldn't even be able to look at each other the same way. That's what Ruby feared the most, the heiress completely ignoring her. So Ruby was walking down the hallway, towards the library, on auto-pilot.

Once she got there, she immediately regretted her decision of telling the heiress.

There sat, Weiss Schnee, in a chair with books open in front of her, she wasn't studying though, she was talking to Neptune. The blue-haired boy who Weiss had fallen for. Except, he seemed to have a regretful expression. Ruby watched how his face turned from regret to guilt. She then looked down at Weiss, and her blood started to boil. Weiss looked down at her books, with tears in her eyes. Ruby then walked over to the. "Weiss! What's wrong?" Ruby went to her side as Weiss wiped her tears away. "It's nothing." Weiss sniffed and Ruby looked up at Neptune with a glare that rivaled Weiss'. "What did you do?" She asked in a serious tone that didn't match her appearance. And that's when Neptune knew, (he fucked up) he was in trouble.

"I uh... She asked me..... I-I'm sorry Weiss...." He backed up as Ruby moved forward towards him. She grabbed his collar and pulled him down to her height. "Tell me what you did to Weiss and I might not call Yang here." Ruby said, her voice, dripping with venom. "Ruby it's okay." Weiss pulled on her arm and Ruby sighed. "No. You are my best friend, I won't let some boy break your heart." Ruby said and Neptune gulped. "S-She asked me if I wanted to go out with her. I said no... Because I didn't feel the same way." He answered and Weiss let go of Ruby's arm. "I tried to let her down easy, I swear!" He put his arms up in defense. "That would explain why you answered so casually, without hesitation..." Weiss whispered and Ruby growled, pushing him away which caused him to stumble backwards. Her hands balled up into fists, her eyes showed nothing but hatred towards Neptune, the boy who broke her best friend's, her partner's, her crush's heart. "Leave."

"Leave Weiss alone. Leave my team alone! I don't want to see your stupid face again!" Ruby yelled. Weiss didn't even protest when she heard Ruby say those words, in fact, she was grateful. Neptune sighed and turned around. "Goodbye then." He said and walked away. Ruby turned around and her own heart broke.

Weiss sat in her chair, sniffing and wiping at her eyes. She looked so broken, obviously, but it was something you don't see everyday. The usually so strong Weiss Schnee, had been broken down by a simple sentence of a boy, and Ruby was not going to let that go. "Weiss..." Ruby said her name and walked over to the heiress. Weiss looked up, wiping her final tears away, and looked into those silver eyes that showed compassion, worry, sympathy, and solicitude. Ruby pulled Weiss into a hug and sighed. "I'm sorry he said that to you." Ruby whispered. She felt Weiss tremble at that and sighed. "It wasn't your fault." Weiss replied and sniffled. "I know, but... He shouldn't have said it the way he did." Ruby said and pulled away.

"I should have known, why would anyone like someone like me? Always cold, mean, stubborn. All boys think about is my last name and my looks, nothing else..." Ruby growled, then she thought of something. "W-what about.... What about girls?" Ruby asked hesitantly. Weiss looked at her questioningly. "Girls. They think your beautiful... I think your beautiful. I think your amazing, your wonderful. Sure, you have your moments when your mean and cold, but your not just mean and cold. Your smart, elegant, graceful, and your scar says that you made it through things most people couldn't. Your strong, Weiss. Your the most lovable person I've met, other than Yang that is." Ruby smiled at Weiss with a blush once she finished her speech. "I love you Weiss." Ruby finally said.

Weiss swallowed the lump in her throat, and tried to force her blush down. She had never once met someone like Ruby Rose. Her team leader, her first real friend, her best friend. She was a nice and sweet girl, who was able to befriend everyone, and those who got the chance to actually know her, love her. No one could resist the sweet girl and her childish personality. Weiss never actually thought about girls that way. Her sister has been the only one to really show her love, or that's what she thought. Yang, Blake and especially Ruby, has shown her love that she hadn't noticed. They accepted, and loved her for who she was, no matter what she did to them, they loved her. Even when she yelled at Yang and Ruby, and still was a bit skeptical of Blake, they never thought of her as some object, unlike her father.

And during that time, she had gained feelings for the little rose, she just hadn't noticed them. And now, they were making her heart beat faster, her brain fuzzy, and a warm feeling had been spread throughout her body, making her smile.

A few tears leaked from her eyes, and she jumped forward, pulling Ruby into a tight hug. Ruby hugged her back and smiled. She may not feel the same way, but I don't care. As long as no one else tries to hurt her like Neptune. Ruby pushed the thought away and hugged Weiss tighter. "I love you too, Ruby." Weiss said. "You've shown me love that no else has, and I thank you for that." Weiss said, and pulled away. Ruby looked at her with a soft smile, then stood up. "Come on, we should get out of here. Yang and Blake will be wondering where we are." Ruby grabbed Weiss' hand and helped her grab her stuff. Carrying most of her textbooks, Ruby walked beside Weiss, holding her hand. She felt absolutely happy. She wasn't mad at Neptune anymore, or rather, he wasn't a problem to her anymore, so she felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders as she passed students on their way back to the dorm.

Weiss smiled and closed her eyes as they rode the elevator up to the fourth floor in silence, they were the only ones in said elevator, so she could finally relax. Her heart still ached, but she could feel the burning slip away as Ruby squeezed her hand, giving her that feeling of safety. Ruby. She didn't need Neptune, no. She needed Ruby. Her best friend... or.... girlfriend. That would have to take some time to get used to, girlfriend. Ruby is her girlfriend. Weiss felt a tug at her lips as she mouthed the words. The elevator door opened, and she opened her eyes. They both walked out, smiling to themselves.

"Ruby. Thank you." Weiss spoke. Ruby smiled and looked up at her. "No need to thank me, Princess! Just doing my job as a team leader!" Ruby replied with a smile on her face, as well as a light blush. "I'd like to pay you back." Weiss said. Ruby then paused. "No, it's okay. I don't need any money!" "Not like that you Dolt! I was hoping that... Maybe we could go out into Vale and... Have diner there sometime?" Weiss asked, suddenly feeling very nervous. Ruby stopped right before they reached the door to their dorm. "Y-you mean it?" Ruby asked, her face was now as dark as her cloak. Weiss nodded. "Yes." Weiss pulled out her scroll and unlocked the door. "Come on." Weiss opened it and pulled Ruby in. "I still need to study." Weiss walked over and put her books down at her desk.

Ruby was standing in front of the soor, still shocked. She basically asked me out. "R-right." Ruby finally said. So she closed the door behind her, and set the books down. Yang watched from from her bunk, smiling to herself behind a comic, having heard the conversation they had outside their dorm room.

Success.
