Maia, Taygete, Alcyone.
The eldest and the smartest.
Celaeno, Sterope, Merope.
Kindest and the bravest.
These are the Pleiades,
All six of them in grace,
Knowing that they'll never return,
from there starry place.
Orion is pursuing,
Never far behind,
These are the Pleiades,
Looking for a sanctuary,
Then Zeus comes,
Mighty and smart,
And takes away,
The Pleiades hearts,
Then he throws them to the sky,
Where lights, they have become,
To at last have rest,
In their starry place.
