*Cosette's POV*

"You always were one to love drama you know that?" smirks Meliodas, my former captain.

"Cosette? You mean Cosette the 8th cat sin of despair?!," gasps the pastel green haired girl next to him.

"Yup that's me," I scowl, the villagers begin to flee out of the tavern. Shoving each other out the door behind me.

"Huh what's going on?" asks the brown haired waitress pushing through everyone, her eyes land on me and she freezes, "Cosette?" she asks in shock. I really need to get out of here, I turn to leave again when the last villager slams the door behind him blocking my exit.

"Baka," I mutter annoyed.

"Awe, now look what you did, you scared all my customers away," sighs Meliodas looking at all of the empty tables around us.

"Cosette don't you recognize me?! It's me Diane!," squeals the brown haired girl running up and hugging me.

NO WAY THIS IS DIANE! "D-Diane?! N-no way! You're tiny!," I gasp although her hug does feel pretty bone crushing.

"I know right?! King says some giant mushroom's spores made me this way!," she giggles excitedly, "I like being small! It means the captain and I can cuddle and stuff!," she squeals and lets go of me running back over to the captain and practically shoving her tits in his face, I snicker Diane did always have a thing for Meliodas. Wait, wait! What am I doing standing here still?! Away! I need to get away! All this miss you crap is probably just them being nice or something!

"Hey, what's with all the noise down here?" yawns an extremely familiar voice.

"Yes we heard quite a commotion from upstairs," says another. Two males come down from the tavern stairs, one with brown hair and golden eyes floating on a giant green pillow and the other has pink hair and gold eyes with glasses on, Gowther and King.

"We found another sin," shrugs Meliodas.

"What?" asks King confused he looks over to me and smiles, "Oh hey Cosette! Haven't seen you in a while," beams King.

Gowther tilts his head curiously, "Cosette, the cat sin of despair, it has been a long time hasn't it?," he asks in the same questioning tone he always uses, ugh, so annoying, I hate how they're acting so nonchalantly and like they missed me, AHH I WANNA LEAVE!

"Try 10 years," I grumble looking at my black boots, at least Ba-

"Hey how come all the orders stopped, not that I care, but," my head snaps up as a man with blue spiked hair and red eyes walk out wearing red leather studded clothing that looks too tight for him.

"Hello Ban," I glare, I'm pissed at him the most, for many, many reasons.

A sly smirk goes over his features, "well if it isn't Cosette, been lonely without me on your couch?" he snickers. Grr...

"Oh so lonely, I totally missed having around a lumbering moron with no respect for other people's belongings or whom they belong to," I retorted sarcastically.

"I totally missed that sassy attitude of yours Cos, it'll be great having you back around!," laughs Ban, I glare at him again.

"What? I'm not sticking around this place, see ya," I go to leave again when an audible gasp is heard and my wrist is grasped again.

"Lady Cosette please wait! I'm Princess Elizabeth and I-I'm on a quest to gather all of the sins to stop the Holy Knights from taking over the kingdom of Elones! Please! Join us on this quest!," she quickly pleads, I turn around and face her light blue eye, it is her...

"Lizzie! It really is you! You've gotten so big!" I whimper out and quickly grasp her in a hug.

"L-Lady Cosette? You already knew who I am?" she questions in shock.

I nod my head grinning ear to ear, "I would play with you, Ronnie, and Margo all the time when you were children, as soon as the sins and I got off missions I would hang out at the castle with you all, don't you remember?!," I explain, I can feel the others watching us, they never really knew of my close friendships with the princesses, except for Ban, but he was always stupid drunk to care.

"You're the lady we would play with?! I'm so sorry I didn't remember!" she squeals hugging me.

"It's definitely okay!," I think over Lizzie's request as we let go of each other, so the Holy Knights have taken control of Leones, those bastards. "I'll do it Lizzie, but only because you're my old friend, and because I respect your father very much, whoever would dare go against him to try and start trouble needs to be beaten," I smirk.

"Thank you so much Lady Cosette!," she cries bowing.

"Hey no need to thank me, I would do anything for you Lizzie!," I hug her harder than she hugged me holding her tightly. It's just been way too long without any of my friends around, and Lizzie has always been one of the most honest people I know. Which assures me that she's not lying about being happy that I'm here.

"Well Cosette, since your part of the team again, you gotta wear the uniform!," grins Meliodas.

"Excuse me?," I scoff letting go of Lizzie. "Who says I'm part of 'the team' again?"

"But, Cos, you agreed to help us remember?" frowns Diane walking over to me.

"No, not you guys, Elizabeth, as soon as she and her kingdom are safe I'm leaving again, and that's a promise," I tsk. Just like they left me all those years ago.

"Cosette," disappointment laces her voice and features. I turn away from her sad expression to the other side of the room, King is also looking sadly at me.

"Quit giving me those looks!," I suddenly snap. "Y-you all left me during that battle! L-left met-to die!" my voice cracks thinking of that awful day the grandmaster was murdered. "I-I barely got away after one snatched my d-diadem and broke it! None of you were a-anywhere in sight!" Tears blur my vision, but I try not to let tears fall. No weakness. Not in front of these traitors!

"They snapped your diadem?!," King gasps floating right over to me. "Where is it now? Do you at least have the pieces?!" After all that he only cares about my damned diadem?! I should have guessed.

"The pieces were scattered, they're gone King, I don't know where they went," I stated coldly. "I'm not surprised you only care about that though, I'm leaving."

"W-wait! But, you said," Elizabeth panics watching me.

"I'll only be outside, I need to get away from these people," I smile at her gently and go out the door, jumping up and resting on the roof of the boar hat. Slowly by my lonesome, I let the tears finally freefall. As soon as the kingdom is back in its natural state I'm leaving these damned people again. Leaving and never looking back. Just like they all did to me.

*Elizabeth's POV*

"U-um Sir King?" the floating brown haired male looks down at me still seeming to be deep in thought. "What's so important about Lady Cosette's diadem?"

The whole tavern seems to be filled with silence as everyone waits for Sir King's explanation. "The Goddess Diadem, it's easily one of the most powerful Sacred Treasures in the Deadly Sins arsenal. It has the power to unlock Cosette's full magical ability, summon any weapon from the sacred tree, and reflect any Holy Knights power back to them. That's why I'm so surprised they were able to take it and snap it, it couldn't have been a Holy Knight."

"So you're saying something else was trying to kill Lady Cosette?!," I gasp in shock.

Sir King nods, "unfortunately yes, Cosette could be in more trouble than we are if we don't get back her diadem. It also seems that we're going to have to show her that we're still her friends," his eyes trail to all the others. "Some more than others," his eyes are glued to Sir Meliodas and Sir Ban. Sir Ban chuckles and Sir Meliodas grins.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's move onto the next town and start gathering more information about the others whereabouts, the other sacred treasures and the diadem," Sir Meliodas chuckles.

"Yeah!," we all cheer.
