Yeah, I Screwed Up... Again

Chapter 7

It was a week away from thanksgiving break. My mom told me that i would be on a plane home after our last day. What i was happy about though, is the fact that me and Jared are just getting closer. We are both leaving on the same flight back home and we managed to get seats next to eachother. It's a long plane ride, so i'm glad im gonna have someone to talk to!!!

Speaking of Jared, he walked into the kitchen at around 9 this morning, which was wierd because he's always up really early.

"hey, why are you up so early?" I said after a couple of minutes. He kinda jumped, is he okay?

"oh, hey Juliette."

"are you okay? You seem like you're freaking out a little bit."

"i'm just nervous about going home. I havnt been there since they sent me here."

"where did you go during breaks?"

"i stayed with my uncle that lives in Boston. He is the one that actually helped me realize that its my fault that im here. I didn't realize it until this past summer."

"wow. I didnt realize that. Well, i can be there when u first see your parents if you want. Considering you're staying at my house until your parents get home the night we get there. We land at like noon."

"really? You would do that for me?!"

"i would do anything for you! You know that!" i said this rather flirtatiously.

"thanks Jules" he said as he wrapped me in a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist and i started to feel kinda tingly all over and i had butterflies in me stomach. When we pulled out of the hug, we looke into eachothers eyes (yeah, yeah its cliche i know.) for a few seconds until he looked to my lips and then back up to my eyes.

"juliette?" he said.

"yeah?"

"i'm going to kiss you now" and thats what he did. The kiss was gentle and sweet. The butterflies in my stomach went away and i was left with this electric feeling all over my body. When he pulled away, we just smiled at each other.

"OH MY GOD JULIETTE!!! GUESS WHAT!!!! Oops my b, i didnt realize you were in here Jared. Im just gonna go..." Jasmine squeels.

"no its fine. You girls talk, i need to go pack anyways. See ya."

"Okay. Well anyways, JULIETTE!!! Mr. Vandette got caught with a buttload of vodka in his office! He has officially been fired!!!"

You see, Mr. Vandette was the meanest harshest teacher here. To him, there was no such thing as a good grade. Most people got low C's in his class, some got B's, but i have never heard of anyone getting an A in his class. I wonder who is going to replace him.

"Do you know who they are bringing in to replace him?"

"No clue, but they are canceling his class until after Christmas Break, so we get a free period during the day!!!"

"that's freaking awesome! I need that free period!"

"So what happened between you and Jared before i walked in?"

"nothing" i said a i turned away blushing.

"he kissed you, didnt he? Oh my God you two are such an adorable couple!"

"we aren't a couple."

"yet." Jasmine said with excitement!

"i gotta go start packing cuz i leave tomorrow. See ya"

Jasmine was really starting to act like Chelsea, which made me miss her a lot. I have only talked to her a few times since i have been here. It really sucks cuz i know i cant go back to hanging out with her when i get home. If i do, i will only go back to drinking. Jared and i have been making so much progress with my drinking problem and i dont want to ruin the progress.

I think its safe to say that im really starting to fall for Jared. I just wish i knew if he felt the same way. I mean he acts like he does but i just dont know! I wish i knew how guys think. Wait, scratch that, no i dont. That would be a very bad thing.

----two days later----

"Jared! Hurry up! The cab is waiting outside. We need to go!" i shouted up the staircase. About ten seconds later, he comes barreling down the staircase with a medium-large duffel in his hand.

"Ready!"

"Finally!!! You took longer than me to get ready."

"thats cuz i finished packing this morning."

"procrastinating is a bad habit" i said mocking him.

***flashback***a week ago

"Juliette, have you even started on you project for Mr. Everet?" Jared asked me.

"Ummmm no. When is that do again?"

He looks at his watch and said "Oh in about 15 hours. Its due at the beginning of class tomorrow!"

"Do you always procrastinate this bad" he asked trying to keep a straight face.

I smiled and just said "yes, yes i do and im damn proud of it!" that did us both in and we were both laughing so hard that we had tears in our eyes.

***end flashback***

Jared just stuck his toungue out at me and reminded me that the taxi was waiting outside. We both hurried as fast a we could into the taxi car.

The ride to the airport is only about twenty minutes, so i took my ipod out and turned on some music. I gave one of my earbuds to Jared cuz we both like the same music. The first song that came on was Lips of an Angel by Hinder. He looked at me and smiled. This was his favorite song. I think its a really good song by my favorite is Brick by Boring Brick by Paramore.

At the airport, we quickly get through security and get to our plane just as it finishes boarding. We make it to our seats quickly and sit down just as we started pulling out of the gate. The plane ride consisted of me and Jared talking, listening to music, and sleeping. And i Have to tell you, Jared looks absolutely adorable when hes sleeping. I mean he just looks so peaceful. When the captain told us to get ready for landing, i woke him up. When i told him that we were landing, he started to look really nervous, so i did the first thing i could think of. I grabbed and held his hand to comfort him.

About 30 minutes later, we had gotten our bags and looking for my parents.

"JULIETTE!"

"Hey mom." i said with tears in my eyes. I gave both her and my dad big hugs and then i introduced them to Jared. They knew him and his past, so at first they were hesitant. That was until he said something.

"Hi, im Jared. I know you have heard a lot about my past, but thats not me anymore. I've been clean for almost two years now. All i want to do is earn everyones trust back."

My mom looked at me and whispered in my ear "I approve." Those were defintaley the words i was hoping for but not expecting from my parents.
