Update on Leona

Hey everyone Author Chan Inge here and I have some news about Leona.

Leona is doing well. Her wounds are healing good. She really is a strong cat. The vet told me that she wasn't doing well the first night. She was sitting in a corner not moving but when he layed her blanket next to her, she layed on it under the heated lamp. (That blanket has been her favorite ever since she was a little helpless kitten.) I guess she was homesick.
Her back left paw only has a fraxured bone. Within a couple weeks that should be healed.

Yesterday evening we went to get her and she instantly started meowing when she heard my voice. Our reunion was a bit emotional. It showed how close me and Leona really are.

(It went something like this)
'Leona is right in here.' *opens door*
There were a lot of cages but I saw a striped paw coming through one of the cage bars. I walked towards it and there she was. Meowing at me. (I got emotional writing this)
'Leona... Hey baby how are you?' *pets her head trought the bars*
*Unlockes the lock of the cage*
*Opens the cage* 'Look at you... You look a lot better then you did...' *starts getting tears in her eyes*
Suddenly Leona leaped in my arms ignoring her injured paw completely.
'Hey... You aren't suppose to do that. *sigh* I've... missed you too...' *hugs her*
Leona headbudded my patched up arm purring and softly meowing.
'My arm is fine Leona... I could have been injured worse if you didn't help me... Thanks my baby...'
My mom ,who also had tears in her eyes had prepared the traveling basket.
'Let's go home Leona...*wants to put her in her basket but can't thanks to Leona clinging herself on to her*
'Okay... for this one time you can stay out of the basket... but no tricks you sneaky little cat.' *laughs*

Leona slept on my lap all the way back home. Snowy greeted Leona and kept watch over Lucy, mom and my sister. I stayed with Leona downstairs all evening till we both fell asleep. I fell asleep on the floor but I didn't care because I have my baby back.
