Glossary/Magical Abilities

GLOSSARY

-Asteroid fire; the hottest, strongest and most destructive type of fire to exist in Jendilya. Justina is an Elementalist who has control over asteroid fire. It is the complete opposite to jewelled ice.

-Cheshire Cat; the Cat is an ancient, immortal creature that resides in Jendilya. Recently, due to the sudden circumstances, the Cat has also adapted the human form of a girl. When in this form, the Cat prefers to be known as Lillian. The Cat possesses a card deck that determines the fate of those who pick a card. The queen of hearts is the rarest card because it only shows itself when it is faced with a ruler who is worthy for the throne.

-Clans; most Jendilyan races originate and belong to a clan. Upon marriage, only one clan can be dominant, so one must move from their clan into their partner's clan, which was the case when Frederic married Lucy.

              -Lidonna Clan; the royal family has been descendants of this clan for centuries, for so long that the Lidonna Clan is also known as the 'Royal Clan'. Kameron, Queen Jennifer and King Frederic are a part of the Lidonna Clan.    

              -Ryadion Clan; also known as the 'Mind Clan', those part of this clan know more about mental related topics, and their powers are more related to the mind and soul. Although sirens do not have their own clans, Sarah is a part of the Ryadion Clan because her siren mother married a man from this clan. Brendan and Linny are also a part of this clan.

              -Kevadia Clan; also known as the 'Magic Clan', those part of this clan have a larger affinity for magic than those from other clans. It is more likely for a descendant from the Kevadia Clan to be born with magic than not. Those part of the Kevadia Clan are Justina, Liam and Lincoln.

-Demon; demons were banished from Jendilya a thousand years back. There was an old Jendilyan legend that spoke of a man from the Lidonna Clan, who willingly sacrificed his soul to summon enough raw magic and sheer power to prevent the demons from ever setting foot in the land again.  

-Dorlae; a race of creatures native to Jendilya. They are known all around the land for their exceptional healing skills. The Dorlae were hunted and presumed to be dead at the hands of the late ruler, Queen Lucy. No trace of them have been seen since. Gloria is presumed to be the last Dorlae, having their blood in her veins.

-Dragon; majestic, winged creatures with reflective scales that went extinct a millennium ago.  

-Eirazelle; a village on the outskirts of Jendilya, and where the gate in Kameron's backyard initially leads to.

-Elementalist; an individual who has the ability to manipulate forms of nature. Elementalists are rarer than twins. An Elementalist cannot be someone who is part of a twin, and they do not inherit the typical power from their clan. Three known Elementalists are Kit, Justina and Linny.

-Jendilya; the 'Wonderland' of this story, a secret land hidden from Earth. English is the primary language, brought to them by the outside world, although they can also speak their own native dialect. There are gates that connect Earth and Jendilya - one of them exists in Kameron's backyard.

-Jendilyan; the main native dialect of Jendilya, although its citizens usually speak English. Jendilyan is also what the population of the land is called.

-Jewelled ice; the coldest type of ice in Jendilya, so cold that white smoke blew from it, and it was cold enough to burn. Linny is an Elementalist who has control over jewelled ice. It is the opposite to asteroid fire.
