Ineffable

Mother's Day – May 2017

She was woken up by the alarm, if only it isn't a Special Day today then probably she's still asleep. Getting up grumpily, her mood suddenly changed when her mom went inside her room.

"Happy Momma's Day to you Mom" she said.

Her mom thanked her with a smile and hugged her. At first she was shocked but then when she had recover, she just returned the act to show some respect, and of course love.

"If only I get to spend the whole day with you my dear, unfortunately there is an emergency in our company and I really need to fly to US, but I'll be back before you know it hon."

As a reply she just smiled, as her mom exited her room she thought of the times her mom chose the business over her, but of course Beatriz being the loving type of person we know, she chose to think that her mom is doing those things for her.

She went back to reality and thought that she should stop overthinking things. She took a shower and wore a nice dress since they are going to the mall to have a lunch at a fine dining restaurant.

When they arrived at the mall beatriz and her mother went window shopping. She wasn't really in the mood to shop right now until they passed by a jewelry store, she asked her mom if she can go to the restroom. She saw a necklace which was really simple, it has gold chain and a single pearl in the middle. She thought that it could be a great gift for her mother.

"I'm in the restaurant already just go here if you're done" her mom messaged her.

"What took you so long in there?"

"Oh, the line was really long, plus I saw a friend with her mom so I told her the greeting"

"That's nice. Why don't you invite them here? I mean it's just you and me."

"Mom they already have plans eh"

"Okay sayang naman"

While they were eating Bea's phone vibrated she immediately checked it only to find out that it was her older brother requesting to have facetime with them. Of course she answered it.

Bea was smiling the whole time watching her mom talk through the phone with his dad and brother, thinking that she really is lucky because she have a hardworking and loving family.

When the facetime ended it was actually the same time they had finished eating, they asked for their bill, payed for their lunch and left.

Her mom fixed her things immediately when they arrived since she has a flight on the next 2 hours. When her mom finished they went inside the car. On the way to the airport, Bea brought out the box and gave it to her mom.

"Mom, Happy Mother's Day" Bea said

This time her mom is already in tears smiling sincerely

"Thank you so much Beatriz. I am aware that sometimes you feel like you are losing us but remember this we love you and your brother no matter what happened, we are a Family and nothing can break us apart okay? I also am fully aware na may mga pag kukulang din ako sayo as a mom but this is the consequence of having a business to manage, you have to be hands-on to it or else it'll quickly fall, and we don't want that to happen. I can't imagine how lucky I am to have a very strong and loving daughter"

"Mommy thank you and I love you so much, I understand" Bea answered in a very shaky voice in the verge of tears.

As they both wiped their own tears, they smiled at each other. They spent the time having chats and sometimes giggling.
