I sit on the edge of my bed staring at the white thin curtains covering my balcony doors. I'm thinking of how my first day of junior year is gonna be when i hear my alarm go off, i usually wake up before it goes off. I look at it and see that the time is only 6:00 and i have to be at school by 7:30 and i usually walk so i should probably get moving. i go into the bathroom and take a slow shower, then i put some make up on and a green sweater with some black pants. i grab my small black backpack and look in the mirror once more to make sure my hair covers my eyes. I nod satisfied with my look, and run down stairs to see my mom making breakfast but i don't have time for it and she knows this so she slaps some grape jelly on toast without a word and sends me off without a goodbye. My mom and i don't talk much when we do its always fighting we always bicker about one thing or another. I bite into the toast and smile, this is the only time she doesn't hate me is when its early in the morning and she makes breakfast for two when she knows i don't have time so she sets a plate for dad waiting for him to come home from work. My dad is a architect he builds the small things in coral lake, California, we live near the beach that has a lot of cliffs people can dive off of. My dad builds the schools and a few of the neighbor hoods and doesnt get home until at least noon and goes back to work by 7 and i personally think hes cheating on mom. I don't watch where i'm going when i walk i really just look at the ground and try to stay hidden. So i'm not surprised when i run into someone and i'm falling until someone grabs me as my eyes are still closed i hear a slightly deep voice right in front of me
"Miss are you alright?" i finally open my eyes to be met with bright clear ocean blue eyes but i look away and stand straight up.
"Miss are you alright?" he asked for a second time i looked down and nodded. But looked through my hair to see the guys full face his hair was flipped to one side but then again it was all over the place and it was a faded blue Color it looked so soft i was almost tempted to touch it. He had on dark black jeans on and a plain blue tee-shirt that showed his abs. I look down at his shoes
"T..thank you" i said at barely a whisper "i have...to uh..g..go b..bye" i said stuttering and blushing as i walked quickly away and then turned a corner as the guy yelled
"Wait! I didn't get your name!" i then heard another voice asking what just happened. My heart felt like it was going a mile a minute but all of that stopped when i got to school because i knew as soon as i walk through those doors i will be made fun of by the school populars. i mean this is not like mean girls where i can just get in their group and become one of them while my friends try to help me deceive them, well one because i'm too shy to do that, and two i don't have any friends to back me up. People mostly ignore me or im just invisible and they dont see me, its been like this for 2 years and i started being shy in 6th grade when something tragic happened to me.
As promised right when i walked to the door i was pushed out of the way by the school "populars" aka school sluts. they act like im not there, like im invisible. i walk to the gym to get my schedule, and as im walking i run into someone for the second time only our shoulders bump but thats enough to make my heart race.
"s..sorry..i..um..ive got to..g.go.." i said to the blue haired boy for the second time without looking at him. i started to walk away closing my eyes and hoping he doesnt fallow me when i run into someone else. this time its not the person who makes my heart beat fast...its the ones who make my heart hurt and makes me want to go die in a hole.
"hey watch where you are fucking going loser, girls i think we should teach this girl a lesson" the popular in the middle whos name is Kate Enzi(pronounced en-ze) and the other to are ashley brown and brianna blake they are all on the cheerleading team kate is team captian. they started to walk towards me as i looked down at my feet readying for them to hit me. i saw kates hand come up but i flinched and looked away waiting for her to hit me but it never came i looked back to her from under my eyelashes seeing that blue haired kid with kates fist in his hand. he pushed her back
"hey stay away from her she didnt do anything to you" he glared at them
"and what are you gonna do if i dont" she asked with a smirk that said she knew she won
"oh i wont do anything cuz i dont hit girls" she smirked harder "but" kate frowned "you see that guy over there with the black suit with glasses" he pointed to a guy who was watching us "well thats the principal and also my dad and i bet you he can get you expelled for violent intentions so i wouldnt" he was the one smirking now and i smiled too although you couldnt see it with the hair in my face. kate huffed and walked away to get her schedule and the blue haired guy turned to me.
"hi again are you okay? do you have a habit of bumping into people or something?" he asked chuckling as my face heated up and my heart started to beat faster and faster
"i..im fine im sorry again...f..for bumping into you" i looked down at the ground
"hey its fine whats your last name? or maybe i should ask you what your first name is since i dont know that either"
"a..alexis topaz" i was still looking at the ground. i felt him come closer to me and i flinched but relaxed when he cupped my face with his hand and lifted my chin up
"i am jason talsman. miss topaz you have beautiful eyes i wish i could see them more often" he tried to look in my eyes but i looked away as i started to blush and my heart started to beat faster and faster "you are a mysterious girl alexis and i would love to get to know this person" I felt like nothing could end this but i was wrong
"YOU GUYS HAVE 5 MINUTES TO GET UR SCHEDULE AND GET TO CLASS THE BELLS ABOUT TO RING" im guessing the principal said and i looked into the blue haired... sorry i mean jason's eyes for one second then swallowed and very quietly said
"i..i..i have..to uh..go g..get my schedule sorry" and with that i walked to the G-Z section and got my schedule and headed towards class spacing out the whole way
