Emma sat on the couch with Regina until she stopped crying. "Gina?" Emma asked softly. Regina nodded slowly, curling closer to Emma. "Wanna stay the night?" Regina nodded again, humming sleepily. Emma felt her breathing slow down, indicating she had fallen asleep. Emma slowly picked Regina up from off her couch and carried her to her room. Well, her old room that Emma now used as a guest room whenever Mary Margaret (her foster mom from when she was 15) came to visit. Occasionally her friends from college would come visit as well, but Mary Margaret came by every other week it seemed. Regina stirred in her sleep slightly after Emma laid her down, but stopped after a second. Emma slowly crept out of the room quietly and went to her room, falling asleep quickly.

Regina woke up with a start the next morning, smelling something burning. She quickly got to her feet and walked swiftly to the kitchen, where Emma stood beside the toaster. She was trying to get a piece of toast out without burning herself. "Shit!" She yelled. She looked up and saw Regina standing with her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised. "Language, Swan." Emma laughed and shook her head. "I was trying to make you breakfast. I guess my plans went up in flames. Metaphorically and literally." Regina laughed with her.
"Thanks, but I think I'll make it myself now." She said, reaching into Emma's cereal cabinet. "All you have is frosted flakes? And there's like ten family size boxes? And half of them are empty-Emma are you okay?" Regina turned around to see her best friend hanging her head in guilt. "Not only Mary Margaret is bugging me about my cereal choices." The two laughed.
"If I can remember correctly when I lived with you, you hated this cereal." Regina shook her head. "Well someone, not naming names or anything," Emma said pointing at Regina, "Moving out made me realized I loved the stupid sugary mess a lot. So that person made me emotional over us moving forward in our lives and cereal."
Regina clapped and wiped imaginary tears from her eyes dramatically. "That was beautiful Emma, truly." They both laughed until they couldn't breathe. "So, uh, how did you sleep?" Emma asked while reaching for the coffee pot to pour another cup. "Alright. It was weird sleeping by myself." Regina shrugged and started pouring a bowl of cereal from one of Emma's many boxes.
Emma cleared her throat. "Do you wanna talk about, ya know, what happened?" Regina stopped pouring her cereal and set the box down on the counter, then put her head in her hands. "Gina?" Emma asked, softly, and concerned. Regina started crying. "I don't know where I went wrong." Emma ran over to the other side of the counter and Regina sobbed into her shoulder. "Hey, no, no, this is my fault. I shouldn't have asked." She said quietly, wrapping her arms around Regina and running her fingers through the ends of her hair.
Regina stopped crying and leaned up to wipe away the tears quickly. "I'm sorry. It's probably something to do with the baby and things. But yeah, I should probably talk about it." She shrugged, laughing a bit at the end. "Killian and I were doing fine. I never suspected a thing. Then yesterday I realized I had missed, you know what, like 2 weeks ago. So I checked. And then I saw. And then I went to go tell Killian and-"
"He was in your bed about to be laid by my former foster dad?" Emma asked, raising an eyebrow. Regina laughed. "Yes. And again Miss Swan, watch your language." Emma put her hands up in defence. "I was just telling the truth." Regina sighed and shook her head. "Then he tried to push David off and say it was nothing. Then I was like no and said that you or Zelena would come back for my stuff. Then I left. Very soap opera like."
Emma laughed. "Well, this whole situation is very soap opera like. If I believe I know how soap operas work." Regina bit her lip. "Yeah. It's just...how am I going to live without him being here. Like how do I raise the kid on my own? My parents could barely raise me properly and they were together! And I don't want to end up like my mother. Ever."
Emma shook her head. "You won't Gina. You're way better than her, and plus you have me and Zelena, and probably Mary Margaret on your side. You'll be fine." Regina hugged Emma tightly. "Thank you. So much." She whispered in her ear. "No problem," Emma whispered back. "But now if you're going to be living here, baby stays in your room, got it?" Regina laughed. "Yes. Of course."
