Bakit Maarte si Eva?

"Dito na lang tayo sa living room" - I said to everyone as we enter the house and gestured them to sit down.

Our house have a typical Italian Villa design with the grand staircase welcoming you when you enter.

Miguel and Jose are both civil engineering students while Precious and KJ are taking fashion merchandising that's why each of them will be working on different school works.

Inaayos ng mga kasambahay nila ang pinahanda kong miryenda ng makita makita ko si Kuya Enzo na bumababa ng hagdan. Magulo ang buhok nito at halatang kagigising lang.

He is the 3rd eldest ang pinaka masungit sa mga kuya ko.

"Hi! Enzo, jetlag?" - masayang bati ni KJ sa kapatid niya.

Sinamaan ko ito ng tingin samantalang ang kapatid ko naman ay tumikhim lang at dumiretso sa akin and kissed my forehead.

Lalapit din sana si KJ para bumeso sa kapatid ko pero hinatak ko ito pa-upo.

Kuya Enzo didn't say anything inobserbahan lang nito ang mga kasama ko bago umalis at pumusok sa kusina.

Ilang saglit lang pagkaalis ni kuya Enzo ay narinig ko ang pag tawag at pag lapit ni kuya Elio at kuya Emmanuel.

"Baby sis!" - tawag ni Kuya Elio.

Agad akong tumayo at lumapit dito to stop my brothers in saying anything stupid and embarrasing me.

Agad umakap sa akin si kuya Emmanuel and lifted me off the ground while hugging.

"I miss you baby sis"

"Stop kuya! Put me down!" -reklamo ko.

Paglayo ko kay kuya Emman ay si Kuya Elio naman ang yumakap sa akin pero hindi ako nito agad binitawan.

"Stop being clingy, Kuya!" - reklamo ko ulit at sinubukan itulak ito with no effect. 5'4 lang ako and all of my kuyas are 6 footer

Kuya Elio is the eldest at 28 years old, he is the sweetest but strictest too. Kuya Emman is 26 pinaka pilyo kong kuya and Kuya Enzo is 24.

All of them is 2 years apart except for me and Kuya Enzo who is 4 years older. Mom was already sooo over childbirth by the time she got pregnant with Kuya Enzo and it took 3 years for dad to convince her to try for another child because he wanted a girl that he can show off to everyone mom agreed because she wanted that too, a daughter who can be like her and better.

"Parang di ka lumaki, Eve" - pang-aasar ni Kuya Emman

"I'm already past 18 kuya I'm not going to grow taller anymore because of you three!" - iritang sagot ko

"Us, anong kinalaman namin sa pagtangkad mo?" - nagtatakang balik nito

"You three took all the height and left me this short" - angal ko na tinawanan lang ng mga kapatid ko

"We have alot of pasalubong for you but its still in our rooms, do you want us to get it for you?" - excited na wika ni Kuya Elio.

Plenty of pasalubong talaga brothers haven't been home for 3 years ever since I started college. Our family's businesses are mainly in Italy and our dad want my brothers to take over the business soon kaya sapilitan nitong pinapapunta ang mga ito sa italy at hindi pinauwi ng pilipinas.

The businesses will be divided among my brothers: our biggest business of chain hotels, restaurants and winery is going to kuya Elio, the automotive business to her kuya Emmanuel and the luxury goods business to her kuya Enzo.

Their main residence was supposed to be in Italy too but when I was 10 my brothers insisted that they wanted to stay in the Philippines. Kuya Elio was already 18 by then and was able to take care of them. Our mom was supposed to stay with us but she was too busy with all her events and travels to be felt in the house and dad stayed in Italy but would occasionally visit the Philippines or they will spend their vacation days in Italy.
