It was already 10 pm when I arrived at the dorm and surprisingly, it was quiet. No video games and shouting or whatsoever. I wonder where that girl is?
I took a shower and change my clothes in preparation for my slumber. While I was reading a book, ready to sleep, I suddenly received a text message from my roommate.
From Faye the Kid:
Irene, we are having a sleepover at Joy's. Hehehehehe. I forgot to tell you, peace yow. ~ppoong
To Faye the Kid:
Why didn't you texted me earlier? Anyways, have fun, say hi to everybody for me. I'm going to sleep, bye. ~I
I wonder how's Lisa doing? I hope she's fine there. Oh well. I resumed into reading my book when suddenly my phone started ringing. I looked at the name and wished I just have silenced my phone. I had no other choice but to answer the call.
"Bunny! I'm so sorry! They want you to come here ppoong hehehehe~"
"Give the phone to Mio, since she's the rational one." I can hear their laughter in the background. Ah these people, it's already almost midnight they might disturb the other rooms.
"Yah you're so mean."
"You don't even know how to say hello Faye, so give it to Mio or I'm hanging up." I can hear her say fine in the other line, so that means she already gave her phone.
"Hello, Irene? Do you want to come here? I can make you tea. Are you sleeping? They are going to video call Lisa, I guess? hey is that Irene?" Why do I always end up making bad decisions? I forgot Mio is one of the innocent slash slow in our team. But if I'm not mistaken, I think it was Wendy's in the background.
"Hello Mio, can you give the phone to Wendy? I'm just going to ask her something."
"Hello, this is Wendy speaking, what's seems to be the problem?"
"Is it really true that you are going to video call Lisa?"
"Ah. Yeah. I found out a way to call her without getting caught."
"Okay bye."
I took my jacket, phone and wallet, and went out of our room, I headed straight to where they are. I need to ask Lisa something important.
As soon as I was outside their door, I can clearly hear their noise, so I just went it without knocking.
"Irene!" they all went and tackled me to the floor.
After struggling for some minutes I managed to stand up and compose myself.
"So what did I miss?" I folded my arms to my chest and ask while scanning their faces one by one since somethings not right, I can feel it.
"Me~" Rosie answered. Ah this child. I raised an eyebrow to Jennie and she just shrug. I looked at Mio and looked at me like nothings wrong, Joy and Ari were clearly avoiding my gaze, I skipped Faye since I won't get anything beneficial from her at a time like this, so I looked at my last hope, Wendy. She heaved a sight and told me everything about Ari's concern.
"So Ari, are you comfortable or not?" I looked at her knowingly hoping that she might get what I'm trying to imply.
"Of course not, but what else can I do? I would just endure a little longer." I honestly feel bad for this kid since she is pressed in such an awkward situation. I gave a long sighed.
"So? Let's call Lisa?"
"Yes please!" All of them answered in chorus.
Wendy brought out her phone and opened and app called idk, it can actually distort the voice of the caller and image.
"My friend from Canada made this app, he gave it to me for a test run."
"Wow, go rock it Wendy."
"Heh." She started encoding the said username of Lisa.
Ringing.
"Uh? Hello?" silence. It sounds like a chipmunk, followed by a sudden burst out of laughter.
"Lisa!" Mio shouted. You can hear Lisa laughing her ass out but in a hush tone.
"Oh my, why do you sound like an old man?"
So that was what we sounded like. Probably to conceal our identity.
"So how are you Lisa? Is everything okay? Have you not been touch there?" Rosie's questions really shakes my soul, ah an unfiltered mouth.
"Omo Rosie, what kind of question is that, of course I'm okay."
"So when are you coming back? I miss you so much~" Joy said, well it's been 2 weeks since this girl left. I miss her too.
