Blood spotted on the reflective edge of the large knife. A metalic scent filled the air as a hot, red liquid sprayed against the dingy brick of an alleyway. The man gargled and made an ungodly sputtering sound before falling face down onto the concrete. The killer placed a folded paper on the small on the fresh corpse's back. He escaped quickly on the the sidewalk, keeping out of the light of the streetlamps.

"Today is my day off. This better be good, Bobby," Dean dragged himself through the doorway of his boss' office.

"Boy, up late?" The older man questioned from his desk.

"You could say that," Dean smirked and settled into a chair across from Bobby. He examined the desk plate that read 'Robert Singer'.

"Murder on a side way off Caldwell Street on the eastern part of town. Poor bastared was sliced almost to the bone through his throat." He pulled out a folder and handed it to Dean.

"...And why are you calling me? I was supposed to go visit Sammy at college today." He looked with disgust at the folder as he took it and flipped through the grusom images.

Bobby said nothing, only pulling a plastic bag from his desk. He handed it to dean.

"What the hell is this?" He snatched the bag. Inside was a paper.

"It was left on the victim. They've already dusted it. Take it out and read it."

Dean removed the palm sized paper from the clear sack and opened it. It read:

Dean Winchester,

Now that I've got your attention, listen closly to what I'm about to tell you. They're lying to you, Dean. They want to hurt you. They want to hurt Sam. You need to leave now, for it isn't safe. I will be at the bunker at 12PM tonight. Don't stand me up again.

Thoughts were racing through Dean's mind, but one prevailed through the chaos.

No. Not again.
