I screamed. It was a scream of neither fear nor frustration, rather a scream of anger. I was a bloody vampire! No pun intended. I punched my fist into the mirror and it shattered. The pieces of mirror lay on the floor and I inspected my hand. There was no mark. I punched a fricken mirror, shattering it into thousands of pieces and didn't even have a scratch on my hand.

"Tut tut, you'll wake the neighbours if you do that again"

I spun round in the direction of the unknown speaker. The man who had saved me last night was standing there in front of me grinning. He had fangs.

"You're a vampire" I whispered and stepped back suddenly afraid.

His grin grew as he leaned against the wall, relaxing.

"I know you are but what am I?" He childishly sang at me and I took a quick gasp remembering the fangs I had seen in my own mouth.

Then I did something I had the habit of doing while I was human. I ran. Yes I know, I shouldn't run from my problems but hell I was in a room with a vampire only to find out I was a vampire.

With super speed I ran out the door and down the hallway only just managing to hear, the vampire curse under his breath and the door shut after him. My instincts chose that moment to kick in and without thinking I jumped out of the window, glass going everywhere. The building was 4 stories but that didn't seem to matter, as soon as I hit the ground I found I was in an old alleyway, so luckily enough no human had seen my display.

I ran out of the alleyway into the big streets of what seemed to be New York. I smiled as I merged with the huge crowds, confident that the vampire would never find me.

As I walked I noticed that I was still in the huge t-shirt. I sighed, I must have looked stupid. I looked around and spotted a nearby clothing store and approached it. It was pretty full so that was an advantage. I walked around and grabbed a bunch of clothing that included a pair of black three quarter jeans, a black tank top and black converses. I grimaced, I normally loved to wear bright colours but with common sense I realised the best way to stay in the shadows, unspotted was to wear dark clothing. I got changed in the change rooms, remembering to take off the price tags. After I was in the clothes I simply walked from the shop, the shop keepers were too busy to even notice me.

When I exited the shop I felt a deep pang of pain in my throat like I hadn't drunk anything for months, it was excruciating. I looked around and noticed how I had the desire to rip all their throats out. It was blood lust.

I looked around and saw a man sitting alone on a park bench. His eyes were lingering on me, drinking in my image until they rested on my chest. I approached him and watched delight dance in his eyes.

"Can we go somewhere more private?" I asked in an alluring voice and his eyes widened he slowly nodded, a lusting smile creeping onto his face.

I led him to the dark alleyway I had come from earlier, sure that the vampire would be far away now. As soon as I stopped I kissed the man and he didn't fight back, he just returned it. I began to kiss his neck and he moaned in delight.

I opened my mouth, fangs extended, intending on biting him when I froze. What was I doing? I was going to kill this guy. Maybe even send him to hell by accident!

"Leave" I whispered into his ear and he frowned at me.

"What? I thought you wanted this?" He was completely confused.

"LEAVE!!" I practically screamed and he yelped and scuttled out of the alleyway.

I started to hyperventilate as I realised what I had nearly done. I had nearly murdered someone. Nearly drank their blood. Nearly condemned their soul. I collapsed to the ground, curling into a ball and closed my eyes tight as tears leaked from them. I was shivering uncontrollably.

I heard someone approach me so silently that I almost didn't even hear. I opened one eye and saw the vampire standing in front of me. I just closed my eyes again. I didn't want to run anymore.

I heard him sit next to me and we both sat in silence, the burning in my throat was growing.

Finally he handed me a hot thermos, "Drink it" he whispered. I complied and felt the thick liquid pour down my throat, the burning stopped and I knew the liquid had been blood.

"It's going to be a hard life, you know. Things will happen to you as a vampire that will just make you hate yourself, but you will eventually accept it and it will make it easier, it happens to the best of us" The vampire said.

I simply nodded unbelieving. Tears still pouring down my pale cheeks.

A long time passed until the vampire finally picked me up from my position and I felt him jump up through the broken window. Silently he took me to our room and placed me on the bed.

Just before he left I whispered, "What's your name?"

He turned to me, his bright blue eyes danced in the light of the moon and in a soft tone he said, "Felix"
