Part one: Louis
Louis woke up to a cool fall breeze blowing through his light brown hair. His room is freezing after he left his window open during the cold night. He doesn't want to escape the comfort of his warm blanket. He doesn't want to leave his room in general to go to school. School is like his very own torture chamber. He's an outsider in his small town of Greenville, Idaho. No one really understands him. He's adventurous, while most people in this town would prefer to stay and never leave. He has a sense of humor that most people here don't understand. You could say he is very untraditional for a very traditional town. He is yet to meet someone who could match his personality.
Louis quickly puts on a pair of tight red jeans that he is often made fun of for, which doesn't bother him since he couldn't care less about there opinion. He pairs this with a white shirt and overalls. He quickly styles his hair and walks out of his room, his door making a loud screeching noise. He walks through the hallway of his old home. As the untraditional person he is, he slides down the un-sturdy railing. Right when he gets to the bottom, his mother walks past carrying a basket of laundry. He runs into her, causing her to the drop them. He swoops down and begins to pick them up. He just smiles at his mom as she looks genuinely pissed.
"C'mon Louis, why do you have to fucking screw everything up." She says to him. He just smile and say I love you, deciding there isn't time to argue. His mom has cold to him ever since he told her he was gay. Like the rest of the people in this pathetic town, his mother is also unable to understand nor accept anyone different than her.
He grabs a banana on his way out and shoves it in his mouth as he walks outside of his house. He eats it as quickly has he can while getting out his bike. He looks across the street to see a boy staring at him. He can't make out his features, but he can tell that he has long hair. Louis knows that a new family just moved in at that house, and that must be there son. As he finishes his banana and starts rolling down his drive way, he gives the kid a wtf kind of look. The kid just smirks at him and opens the door to his BMW (which doesn't really make sense since this is a lower middle class neighborhood. )
Louis rides on the faded concrete street. Lots of over protective adults yell at him to get off the rode, but Louis ignores them, not caring to follow the rules. He heres a loud sound behind him, and the long haired kids BMW goes roaring around him, splashing dirty water all over him.
"Asshole!" Louis screams, and the kid just looks behind and waves.
"Hey!" A middle aged women smoking a cigarette yells, "I got a kid out here."
"I'm sure that cancer smoke is worse for her." Louis says, in complete honesty. Parents priorities today are fucked up. Louis hears the women yelling at him, but he keeps going.
He arrives at his school and locks his bike to the bike rack. He walks into the school with confidence, despite the fact that he is constantly judged. He strolls down the hallways, in no hurry although he should be. He walks into his third period class five minutes late.
"Tomlinson, you're late. Again." His teacher, Ms. Tyler, sighs. Louis shrugs.
"Better late then never." Louis says, plopping down into his uncomfortable metal chair in the back. He see's his "peers" rolling his eyes at him, but he doesn't give a fuck. He chews on his pencil, trying to pay attention. Louis is a smart kid, but he has trouble concentrating. He takes a couple of notes, until he zones out into a day dream. He is knocked out of it when half way through the class, the curly-haired Bmw kid walks in.
"You must be Harry Styles. You're late." Misses Tyler says.
"Better late then never." He says. Louis looks up and smiles at the boy who stole his words. Harry sees him and smiles back. He walks over to the seat next to Louis. Louis sees the boy smirking at him, while he try to pay attention to the class. They sit in silence, Harry staring at Louis. Louis really wants to look over at him, but he would prefer to avoid awkwardness. His mission fails when Harry nudges at his shoulders.
"Hey." He says. Louis looks at him for a second, before looking back and pretending to be paying attention.
"Hey." He says unenthusiastically. He tries to sound annoyed, but he can't stop the smirk on his face. This only makes Harry's shit- eating grin bigger.
"I saw you this morning. You're my neighbor." Harrt says. Either Ms. Tyler is either deaf or ignoring them. Either way, Louis doesn't care.
"I noticed and I know."
"You noticed?" He asked, still smirking. Louis laughs, but tries to hide it with an annoyed face, but he's not fooling Harry.
"Well you weren't exactly discrete." I say. Harry shrugs.
"I guess I just couldn't help it." He smiles. Now Louis laughs and doesn't try and hide it.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Louis asks.
"Whatever you want it too." Harry says.
"You're funny." Louis says, sarcastically.
"I try." Harry says. Its funny how Louis already gets along with Harry better than anyone here. This is someone he could really be friends with. Louis has "friends", but he can't really be himself around them. Maybe Harry could be his first true friend.
They don't talk for the rest of the period, until the bell rings. Harry quickly stands up to exit. That was kind of a blow. He almost expected him to say goodbye.
Apparently he talked too soon, because Harry turns around and says, "See you around Lou."
"Yea. See you." Louis says, even though Harry has walked out the door. He never even told Harry
