Once again her prayers went unanswered as she stepped out of bed with the same feeling as before. At this point she was wondering if she was doing it wrong, or maybe god just had better things to worry about. She wouldn't blame him.
Slowly she walked to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror she noticed new things about herself.
When had she started to develop wrinkles and eye bags? She frowned at her reflection. She was once heathy and glowing. Now she had started to match the city in the way it was dull and sad.She put makeup on to hide her flaws. If only there was some sort of makeup for the soul, so she could hide the way she felt from herself.
That's when she decided it was all too much. If nobody was going to help her she would help herself. She threw on the best dress she could find and did her hair. She then went to her desk to grab a piece of paper and pencil and headed out the door.
