Autumn looked at the boy and gave him his money and started to walk off to meet the policeman, when the boy said: -"here, it's a snow drop, it will bring you luck". Than he ran off again. Autumn only had time to ask him : "- tell me your name boy.
- Joe my name is Joe"
And went off with the young officer. Once at the crime scene, Louis walked towards the inspector and said: "- it's not a nice sight...
-is it Sophie? Is it her? Answer me!
- no... luckily. You don't want to see what happened to this young girl... It's the missing one everybody is talking about."
Autumn rushed past Louis to see what was there. An unpleasant sight it was. The young girl about seventeen was cut open like you would a rabbit, a pink ribbon in her hair all undone and a ripped dress. In her hand was a bunch of carnations and sweet peas, lightly faded. The inspector knew it was them because of the strong sent that was still coming from the sweet peas. After a quick look at the crime scene, the body was taken to the morgue. The inspector left a short moment to go to his wife's bench to drop off his flowers for her and under the blooming cherry blossoms, he started to find that things were odd. "To start off with, he said like she was sat beside him, why didn't someone find her body sooner? She was missing for at least two days or more. I didn't go to see Danny yesterday, it was Sunday. And what I got for you this morning was the same arrangement as on the crime scene. Danny knows that on Mondays is your favourite flower day, but why did she have some?" it was time for him to go back to the station and see if anything else was found.
Louis had already written down some ideas of how it happened. The number one suspect was Danny. Everybody was looking for him and his hiding spot. But Autumn knew that he wasn't hiding. The next day, people were saying that somebody saw a young man who resembled Danny walking with yet another girl by his side. The other business owners were saying that she had a blue dress and blonde hair but the man was more difficult to see. All assumed it was Danny.
The next day, Autumn went to the cart and got this time a bunch of lilies. Joe gave a new snowdrop to the inspector and continued with another customer. He went off enjoying the smell of his flowers when Louis saw him and went to see him. Another body was found.
It was the fisherman's daughter, Lily. She was found in her father's shop, lying on the counter as a display. The same gruesome scene took place. She was cut open like a fish, the ripped blue dress, and the green ribbon around her waist dripping with blood. And once again flowers were placed around her on the ground, lilies. Autumn was finding all this very strange that the flowers he bought were the same found on the crime scene for the second time. After storming out, he rushed to Sophie's bench to deposit the flowers than headed back to his office.
