 Emily's point of view

*****

My eyes fluttered open and was instantly blinded by the sun shining through my window. I balled my hands into fists and I rubbed my tired eyes. I yawned in the process as well. I pulled back my neon green blanket and slowly lifted myself up from the bed.

I stretched and made my way to the bathroom to do my morning necessity's. I grabbed a black hair tie and pulled my thin black hair back into a high ponytail. I brushed my teeth and then put on a light shade of pink lip gloss and a little bit of eyeliner.

I went back to my bedroom and put on my favorite outfit. A yellow sundress, black All Star high tops, and a jean jacket. I looked myself over in the mirror that rested on the wall in the corner and I grabbed my red, black, and grey book bag.

I walked down the oak wood stairs and into the modern looking kitchen. I sat down at the table and looked over at my sister, Allison, who was looking at her Game Boy, occasionally twitching her head to the left every so often. See, she had Tourettesyndrome which causes her to have muscle spasms at any moment.

I rolled my eyes at her and looked down at the plate that was set down in front of me by my Mother. I looked up at her and said, "Thanks Mom." She gave me a warm smile and gave her attention back to the stove.

I slowly ate the scrambled eggs that my mom gave me and when I was finished I put my dirty plate into the dishwasher. "Emma, will you give me a ride today, please." Allison asked while putting her game boy into her back pocket. "Mm, OK." I said while scratching my chin.

I grabbed Allison by the wrist and pulled her outside to my dads white Chevy. I put the key into the ignition and drove down the road which was filled with potholes.

Once we arrived at Jackson Milton High School, we went our separate ways to our lockers. My locker was right next to my first class so I could take my time. I put away my book bag and slammed it shut making a very loud sound causing the girl next to me to yelp.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." I apologized quickly. "Oh, it's no biggie. People do it to me all the time. Thanks for caring though." She had her head held low so I couldn't quite see her face.

"What's your name?" She lifted her head and I could see what she looked like. She had brownish-red hair and hazel green eyes. She had a small scar on her left cheekbone. "Sara. What is yours. You don't have to answer, it's your choice." She said in a very shy voice which quickened at the end of her sentence. "Emily, but you can call me Emma. Listen, I gotta go, but I'll see you around, OK." I smiled and turned away to go to music class.

As I made my way down the hall I felt a pair of eyes watching me. I turned around and saw a boy around Sara's height with light brown hair watching me. I turned my back around and just brushed it off. I then saw the same boy walking next to me.

"Can I help you?" I asked sounding a little annoyed. "I saw you talking to Sara. Are you..friends with her?" He asked stopping me by grabbing my shoulder. "As of now, yes." I simply replied turning to walk away but I was pulled back by the guy.

"Why? She is a loser." I gritted my teeth and balled my hands into fists. "Listen buddy, I don't know who you are, but that is very rude of you to go around telling people who not to be friends with!" He growled and took a step backwards. "I'm Andrew and I was just trying to look out for you, since your new and all." I spun around on my heels and walked to the music room.

I can't believe some people! Sara seemed really nice and I'm sure she isn't a loser. I was so lost in thought I passed my music class, so I walked backwards till I met with the door. I walked in and sat down at the last seat open.

"Welcome class, I am Ms.Garner, I hope you all have a great year." She smiled a warm smile and at that exact moment, I zoned off into my own world. I thought about the most random things like what if a murderer walked through that door right now.

I sighed and looked to my left to see a boy who is really attractive. He had messy brown hair and light green eyes and he had a very slim figure. I turned my head back to the teacher, even though I wasn't listening.

I propped my head up with my arm and felt my eyes droop. I yawned and closed my eyes. I tried my hardest not to fall asleep but I failed miserably. I fell into a light sleep.
