Chapter 13 ~ The Big Engagement

CHAPTER 13 ~ THE BIG ENGAGEMENT

MADISON'S POV

Okay, that was weird. Not a bad weird but kind of a good weird.

What exactly was I thinking when I kissed Chase? Probably not thinking at all.

Does this count as cheating? Because Sean and I only been out on a few dates and we weren't official. I literally stayed up all night thinking about this. But it was obvious that the kiss was a total mistake because Chase doesn't like me like that.  Because we’re best friends. So I can just get the stupid equation out of my head that Chase and I were not meant to be.

After staying up all night, I finally fell asleep till my brother came barging into my room.

"Mads its lunch time." he said shaking me so I could wake up. I pulled the blanket tighter covering my face in the process.

"Come on I need to tell you something important."

What could so important that he had to wake me up? I was just so tired and sleepy.

"Come on Madison, get changed cause we are going out for lunch." With that he left my room.

I pulled my blanketoff yawning at the same time. I looked towards my clock, it was already 1pm.

I went to have a quick shower and changed my clothes. By the time I was done Francisco was already outside in his car waiting for me.

"About time" he said when I stepped into the car.

“Ugh, whatever. Why are we going out for lunch anyways?" I asked.

"I told you before," he said pulling out of the driveway, "when I was waking you up something important."

I didn't bother asking him what was so 'important' because knowing my brother he won't give in, because of my constant nagging. We sat in a comfortable silence with the music playing lightly in the background.

In about 10 minutes we reached to a small diner where we would have lunch. I was incredibly hungry since I skipped breakfast because of sleeping in.

We went in sitting in a booth next to the window. Shortly after we settled in the booth the waiter came and took our orders.

"So what's this 'important' thing you need to tell me?" I asked.

"Well, it's something to do with Emily."

"Did you get her pregnant?!" I exclaim saying the first thing that pops into my head.

"What?! No Madison. She's not pregnant! Why the hell would you think that?" he said shaking his head. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, that's good. Well I don't know you said it had something to do with Emily and I automatically thought she was pregnant. Don't blame me blame my brain."

"God Madison, always jumping to conclusions."

"So, what's the 'important' news then?" I ask again.

"I'm asking Emily to marry me." He simply stated. I let out a girly squeal and forgot all about how I was hungry.

"OMG! You’re going to ask her!" I let out another squeal. People around us turned to our booth and looked at us, well mainly me, like I was crazy.

"Madison shut up you're embarrassing me and stop the squealing." I wasn't going to follow his orders but then I saw the waiter coming our way with the food so I sat down like I was told to.

The waiter placed our meals onto the table and left us to eat. The aroma of the food was too strong, I just had to eat straight away, and questions about how Francisco was going to pop the question could be asked later.
