CHAPTER 7: THE CONTRACT

DIANA’s POV

7:00 in the evening, I decided not to go home, balak ko sanang mag stay over sa tent. After our evening class, my friends went home already. Pagpasok ko palang sa tent, bumungad na saken si Violet, I don’t know but I feel irritated, yun bang ayoko siyang Makita, hindi naman ako galit, ayoko lang talaga siyang Makita. But nung papunta nakong room ko, she suddenly called me,

Violet: can we talk?

“huh? S-sure,”

Violet: are you mad at me?

“no! why would you think that?”

Violet: because you’re not talking to me, it’s been a week since I came here, but you feel so distant to me,
She said in a very sad tone, well, it’s true, I’m not actually talking to her, just looking at her face pisses me off,

“oh, that, I’m sorry, I’ve been so busy these days because I have my responsibilities in our school, anyway, how’s your engagement?.”

Violet: it goes well,

Then pinakita niya yung singsing, sana ako nalang nagsusuot nung singsing. She suddenly stood up and whispered something sarcastically in my ears,

Violet: I’m sorry, he chooses me over you,

Then umalis na siya, pwede na siyang makatanggap ng grammy awards sa ACTING niya, best actress ang peg!
Umuwi nalang ako sa bahay sa sobrang inis ko, kailan kaya uuwi sina mama at kuya?

(dingdong)

Huh? Sina mama kaya yan?

Pagbukas ko ng pinto, I saw Jimin outside,

“JiMin?!!”

Jimin: Diana, can we talk?

“we’re already talking,”

Jimin: I mean a serious talk, about us
“us? Is there an US?”

Then I shut the door, the rain suddenly poured and I still didn’t let him in. I switched on the t.v and, oh my, meron palang bagyo, wala nanaman SILANG pasok, kami meron. I went to my bed and browse the internet on my phone and searched for BTS again, then Jimin’s photo’s pop up, then I remembered him standing in front of my house. Sumilip ako sa bintana at nakita ko siyang nakatayo padin sa labas, sobrang lakas ng ulan.

At dahil mabait ako, pinuntahan ko siya.

“go home already,”

Jimin: shiro,

“mwo?! Are you saying that you’re not going anywhere?”

Jimin: let’s talk first

“ahh, ahh, arasseo arasseo!”

At yun na nga, pinapasok ko siya.

“here, coffee”

Jimin: thanks,(cough).. Diana sorry,

“for what?”

Jimin: for-(cough)

Hinawakan ko noo niya,

“oh my gee! Nilalagnat ka na nga?! Agad?! You should go to bed, oops! Naka lock pala kwarto ni kuya, then di ka pwede sa Master’s bed, nagtinginan kami ni jimin,

Jimin: no choice ka,

At yun na nga, no choice ako, dinala ko siya sa room ko, sa bed ko, at pinatulog siya.

Jimin: Diana, can you send Violet a message, tell her that I won’t be able to go to school, don’t say the reason,

“ako? Ako magtetext? G*ago ka ba? Ba’t ko gagawin yon?”

Jimin: then I tell her that I am on your place,
“you son of-!”

Ginamit ko cp ni jimin at tinext si violet, at wala sa phonebook name niya, so pumunta ako sa inbox niya and saw Violet’s messages, naka unknown name niya. After 2 days, Saturday and Sunday, okay na si jimin, after cooking our breakfast, I went back to my room and saw him sitting on my couch and he’s reading the love book Tisha gave to me,

“you-! Who said you should-”

Jimin: I read the last question, do you love me?
Napalunok nalang ako, speechless, then bigla siyang tumayo at hinalikan ako, WHAT?!

“w-what are you-!”

Jimin: I love you Diana

Gosh! I bet namumula na pisngi ko,

“um, a-almusal na!”

Then tumabo ako downstairs, pagbaba niya, di ko siya tinitignan.

While eating,

Jimin: Diana, I already said that I love you, I want an answer

“is that a question?”

Jimin: oh c’mon Diana, what’s your answer?

“Violet,”

Jimin: violet?

“are you dumb? She’s your fiancé,”

Jimin: not anymore,

“huh?”

Jimin: it was just a contract, a one week contract, she’s just clingy and flirty, in short, the engagement was for entertainment only, even I, they lied to me,  besides, she’s still in love with GD-sunbaenim, oh right! I remembered, my mom wants to apologize to you, so, can I court you? This time it’s for real,

“ang dami mong sinabi, I still don’t get it all, pero nag-process yung last part ng sinabi mo,”

Landi ko! Hahaha

Then he hugged me.

The next day,

JK/V/TISHA: WHAT?! CONTRACT ONLY?!

“yup, so…….”

Jimin: I’m courting her now for real,

Nag-blush ako bigla, then dumating si Violet, nakatitig lang kami sakanya,

Violet: what? It seems like you already knew, today is my last day here in Philippines, I came here to say good bye, and I’m sorry Diana for…. You know,

“it’s okay, muntik na nga kitang sabunutan ehh”

Then napatingin ako sa likod niya, I saw GD oppa,

GD: annyeong!

“kayo na ulit?”

Violet: yup! We made up everything,

“landi mo talaga, sige na at baka mahuli ka pa sa flight mo”

Violet: bye guys! Muaaaahhhh!!!!!

We all rejected her flying kiss… then umalis na sila. Then I saw JK holding the hand of Tisha. Namamalik mata ba ako.  Whatever! Happy lang tayo!
