Chapter Five

Brother

As I laid there bleeding to death I could hear my mom and Jackson yelling and worry in their voices. I was falling slowly away from this world. Yes I knew it this this was all a dream nothing but a figment of my imagination. Then I felt someone lift my head up and pour something down my throat. It felt and tasted wonderful I felt as if someone had poured life down my throat. I started to open my eyes enough to see who my savior was. His eyes where a light caramel with a hint of worry in them. And his hair was so black it looked darker then the night sky its self and his lips where so…. Wait a minute what am I thinking this guy just saved me and I’m already thinking immature thoughts about him. "Hi." I said looking up into those caramel eyes "Hi." He said back "I’m Serenity." I said again looking into those caramel eyes god they look so adorable "Rodrigo!" screamed someone. And in an instant I was on the bed of my neighbors and he was aiding my mother by pushing Jackson off of her. I jumped up surprised but didn’t let it faze me as I ran to Jackson. He saw me and just smiled but Rodrigo didn’t waste an easy opportunity to attack Jackson when he was smiling at me. I looked at my mom who had this sick smile on her face. "Mom is this what you want! To kill me with your own hands!" I screamed at her and that is when all eyes were on me "What are you talking about my daughter is safe with her father and you’re son." She said with sadness in her eyes "What’s your daughter’s name?" I asked her "Serenity." She whispered "Look at me Sarah. I am Serenity I am your daughter." I said "No that can’t be true you had that little boy with you." She gasped "Dad did have a kid with someone. He had the kid with me." I said looking down "How did this happen?" she asked "That doesn’t matter cause his name is Samson and he is your grandson." I said looking at her "No, no he said that he wouldn’t and that he found another." she rambled on. I grabbed her hand which got her attention. I looked deep into her eyes "He lied mom. Not to just you but me too." I said and saw her nod. Her eyes shifted to the Santiago and her frown deepened "Mom what's wrong?" I asked but instead of her saying anything Santiago spoke up "She um well she promised you to me when she had turned me." he said as he looked up and down my body. I blushed wow people really seem to like to give me to single guys. "Yes well I was just a fledgling when I promised you this unless Serenity agrees." she said with hope shining in her eyes. I noticed that Jackson had moved to my side. His hand grabbed mine sending electricity down my arm "No I won't allow it!" he growled at my mom but was sending the death glare towards Santi. That's when mom burst "I will not let you take her from me again Vortex!" while stepping towards my way with a hard stone glare at Jackson. "Mom who is Vortex?" I asked totally confused "Looks like your friend here isn't as trustworthy as you think." she said with an evil looking smile. "Jackson what is she talking about?" I asked him "Like I said my dad was your dads brother and I was his 1st son Vortex and I was in love with you when I was a child. Although my love burned fierce for you dad said that you weren't mine but you were Tiki's. Vortex means Jackson here on earth ." he said as his grip on my arm loosened up. My curiosity was still not quenched with his answer I still wanted to know why my mom said again. "Why did she say I will not let you taker from me again?" I asked "When you where fourteen I tried to blood bond with you. I was your older boyfriend Rodney and that's how I was going to try to blood bond with you but your mom stopped me from cutting the bond you two had." Jackson said calmly "Ok we will discuss this later. Anyway mom I'm going to go to Jackson's house but I do want to meet up with you again. How does Cindergrove Park sound?" I said "Its ok and even though I don't like your decisions I do trust them." she said and grabbed her stuff plus Santi's too. "OK and thank you mom." I said. "Santi come on lets go." she said "I'll be right there I got to do something." he said "Ok don't take to long." she said and left the room. Jackson also told me that he had to go grab my stuff and his to before we left so I said ok. When Jackson left Santi came towards me "Serenity." he purred "Yes..." I stuttered as his lips sought out mine. His moved softly against mine. They searched every inch of my lips as if there was a secret button to open them. When he broke apart from me he left but in the doorway was a pissed off shocked Jackson.
