The way the stars fill up the night sky like fireflies in a forest is beautiful.
All these balls of gas, somewhere far, far away,
Shining bright so that we may see them.
I hope they enjoy the view.

The way the stars line up to form constellations, piecing together like a dot-to-dot, is amazing.
They're all so far away from each other,
Yet they come together in perfect unison to make shapes.
I wish they could meet some day.

The way the clouds sometimes block the stars like they're playing intergalactic hide and seek is worrying.
They're always up in the night sky, making sure I'm safe,
But now they're hiding behind the clouds, out of sight.
I would love for them to come back.

The way the stars come back the next night like a father coming home from a long work shift is joyous.
They reappear with many stories to tell from their absence,
Tales of great wonder and mystery, all about space.
I'm glad they have returned to guide me through the night.
