"Vanna, whats up!" Says my best friend Kallie.
"Nothing really. Ready for gym today?"
"Not at all. We have a new coach."
"Wait what?"
"Yeah, I thought you knew."
"Well, I didn't Kal."
"Sorry. I brought some Subway. Want some?"
"Sure."

I usually get sick of eating in this lunch room. Our school serves the shittiest food and people here are honestly disgusting. I usually just sit with Kallie and Eva, but I haven't seen Eva in a while. Luckily, Kallie came through with the 6in subway sandwich. God she's the best.

After school

The bell rings. I make my way to my locker to grab my stuff. I find another note from William. He's a pretty good friend, but I don't really talk to him so this is pretty strange.

Hey! Hope you can make it to the field today. -Will

I walk towards the football fields and I find hin sitting on the bench.

"Um, hi." I said.
"Hey Vanna. Sorry I didn't text you, I lost your number."
"It's fine. What's the big?"
"Nothing much. I just have an offer for you."
"Cool. And what would that be?"
"I wanted to ask you out for homecoming. I know you would say no so I was going to offer you something in exchange."

William is a pretty nice guy, I've known him since second grade. I wouldn't mind going to homecoming with him though. I'll see what he has to offer.

"What would you give in exchange?"
"Um.. Nothing really. Just my time and some food. Is that okay?" Will says very shyly.
"Totally. Hey, isn't it crazy that it's football season and there isn't a game today?"
"Yeah. That is why I picked today." He laughs quietly.
"Awesome. Today looks so beautiful."
"The sunset is so breathtaking"
"Right? Look at the various shades of pink. So pretty."
"Yeah. Well I gotta go home. I told my brother to pick me up at 4. See you later!" I say as I'm walking towards the parking lot. And also smiling. Really hard.
