Awakened

You will never see the tears roll down my face

but you can always see the sadness in my eyes.

It's an aching sense of freedom,

burning somewhere deep inside.

I want to fly and escape this place,

into a world that is just my own.

Spread my wings and soar through the sky

straight into the unknown.

I will not crash, breakdown, or fall

but will be relieved of a burdened me.

I will strive for accomplishment, success and perfection

and will show you what I was meant to be.
