Another Day
Since the incident yesterday, Daniel and Youngmin had been rushing in and out of school in a speed which you could call unhuman, only to avoid the eyes of the girl from yesterday.
Youngmin sighed, remembering the cold gaze she had given him.
"She was never like this towards us." he mumbled under his breath. Daniel looked at him from the corner of his eyes, already knowing to which the older was referring to.
"People change, Youngmin." He patted the boy's back and the other heaved a heavy sigh, looking off into the distance. They were walking down the streets, currently on their way back home, both of them sharing the Apartment together.
"Yeah, they do. But not to this extend." Daniel knitted his brows together after hearing this. "I mean, she used to be so sweet and kind towards us. It's like she had been replaced with another person." both of them arrived at their Building, seeing some people move stuff into the Buidling next to them.
"Someone is moving into that little Loft Apartment next to me." out of nowhere, Donghyun, also a good friend of them, said from behind them, making the boys jumps slightly at this.
"Did you see your guys faces? Ridiculous!" Donghyun laughed at their surprised faces. Daniel rubbed his chest to calm himself down, while Youngmin was ready to hit Donghyun to which the said boy ducked away.
"Stop doing that! It's not the first time either!" Daniel laughed when Youngmin finally had smacked Donghyun across the head for scaring them. "Yeah, whatever." Donghyun pouted and rubbed the back of his head, he rolled his eyes when he saw both males walking into their Building.
"Do you need help with this?" Donghyun asked the person who had been struggling to pick the box up alone.
"I think I can lift it, if you let me help, that is." He looked at the box and tilted his head, wondering what could be in such a small box to be this heavy.
"Are you sure with this? It's heavy." A soft voice spoke behind him and he turned around, looking at the girl who had talked to him. She came closer towards them. "Hey, I am Jade. I just moved or am still moving into the 5th floors Loft apartment." she held out a hand to shake but then retrieved it. Changing it into a deep polite bow.
"I am Donghyun. Have you been living abroad?" He asked something which he didn't mean to. "I-I mean..." the girl interrupted him, giving him a slight smile. " Yeah. I lived abroad for a while, that's why I am used to shaking peoples hands as a greeting." Donghyun nodded to this. The girl was pretty, he thought, but somehing about her made him feel like she had been lonely for a while. He could see sadness and loneliness in her eyes, eventhough with all the smiling she did, she couldn't hide those emotions.
He quatted down, ready to pick up the box. "Be careful not to hurt yourself." She had said and disappeared into the Building with a few boxes stacked on top of each other again. "Quite the strong girl, I see." He lifted the box up and he swore he could almost have broken his back if he didn't had lifted it right up.
"Sweet cheesus. What does a girl have in such a small box to be this heavy?" he questioned himself and saw the other people moving some furniture in. "Even the furniture looks lighter than this box." He shakes his head, making his way to the girls apartment.
...
After they had moved and arranged everything, the Moving cars had been send off with extra cash for good work.
Donghyun on the other hand was sprawled out on the girls rugged floor. They had become closer over the time they had been moving things here and there, the boy insisting to stay and help eventhough the girl told him to go home and rest, already thanked him for his hard work and ready to push him out.
"You have a full fridge and freezer in this Apartment but everything else is missing? What kind of person moves their food first before their furniture?" He asked the girl from across the room.
"Someone who loves food, of course!" came from the kitchen area.
The boy sighed and smiled. She would be a good new friend for him, he thought. The girl in the kitchen sighed a few times and chukled to herself.
I hope I can be a good friend for you, because for other's I wasn't
