I got out of my car and stood in the soft summery breeze. It's taking a lot of me to actually go in there.

I slowly walked up the cracked cement steps and placed my hand on the cold handle of the door with a pull.

A sign in sheet sat to my left. I signed my name and took a seat. Not long after, a lady with choppy brown hair opened a door and invited me in.

I have always had a phobia of doctors offices, hospitals, really anything associated with death or sickness.

I guess I've just always been scared of the truth.

She led me to a room with beige walls that as far as I knew would start closing in at any given moment. She left me there alone. Like an abandoned animal. She didn't tell me what I was about to have to do, when the doctor would be in, nothing.

Moments later, as if on cue, a short man walked in and started fiddling around with unknown equipment.

"Hello miss Allie."

"Um- hi."

I told him everything that has been going on for the past few days. He never asked any questions, he just nodded his head and left. A lady came in and drew blood and did some tests.

They told me that since they drew so much blood that I could get some rest to get my energy back up.

But I couldn't sleep, I just had a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach.

There was a knock on the door.

"The test results are back." The doctor said.

"Which test?" I asked.

"I have to ask a very serious question first. Have you ever thought that you might be um..." He trailed off.

"Um what?"
